So glad they are getting clowned over this.

He seems to fit the classic "did great with a fresh message and another coaches players but quickly went in the toilet when he was responsible for the roster and the year over year success" model that we see in the sport far too frequently. Yet another example of a guy failing to achieve consistent success who was brought in because he was a good former player and not because he was a proven, good coach.

Ask me again in 3 years. He barely had any returning players from the previous coaches and barely had any legit success once you look at the teams he managed to beat. He didn't beat a single team with a winning record and finished dead ass last in the PAC 12 in his first season.TDub wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 11:13 amcoach prime?twocoach wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 10:49 amHe seems to fit the classic "did great with a fresh message and another coaches players but quickly went in the toilet when he was responsible for the roster and the year over year success" model that we see in the sport far too frequently. Correct. Prime is overhyped, but has some ability. Howard appears all around terribleDeletedUser wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 12:29 pm I think Prime is a significantly better coach than Howard.
I actually think Prime might be a halfway decent recruiter/coach.
Wouldn't fly at Bama....but it would at a place like Miami. Certainly changed the entire atmosphere around Colorado football.randylahey wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 1:27 pm My favorite moment of Prime being overhyped was when Stephen a Smith tried suggesting Alabama should hire Prime to replace saban
Juwan Howard has more ncaa tourney wins (5) at Michigan than Prime has total wins at Colorado (4). We'll see where Colorado is next year now that he's had a full offseason to recruit. He has a ton of transfers coming in next season so definitely a chance to get more if the guys he wants. Nothing against him personally but I hope he fails because fuck Colorado.randylahey wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 1:26 pmCorrect. Prime is overhyped, but has some ability. And HD was 1 of 6 players who left, including 3 starters.
