i think i could probably get on an nc state bandwagon
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

They will be a 2 seed.
And they're having a ceiling season.

Even if they make the final four this season (which seems unlikely), their last 4 years results would not fly at Kansas.

I'm glad they've had their best season in a long time and are going to be a 2 seed. That's great. I want more for Kansas.

Tough result for the bubble teams if NC State holds on.

Watching NC State win is the happiest I've been watching basketball in a while. Their excitement is what college sports are all about. Now they get to go dancin'.

Side note: i hope they aren't our 12 seed.

You aren’t answering the question.
How can they do it without the nba talent?

I guess I don't know (if I am being honest). With really good defense and some outside shooting?

They don't do "it" very often though.

I think it’s good coaching.
Or a lot to do with that.

He's 68-34 at Iowa State.

I guess I don't understand why we would want to try to win with the talent Iowa State has when we can easily recruit way better players than that?

isu seems to play hard and play quality D…two things that can save you when you aren’t shooting well or executing offensively

ISU could get a 1 seed. NC lost, they were 7th and destroyed #1.

Houston, Uconn are locks at 1, Purdue likely lock at 1. 4th is up for grabs

My guess is losers Houston (by 28), UNC, and Purdue stay 1 seeds.
I figure UCONN will be the most popular champion pick among people who are semi knowledgable college basketball fans. I hope someone pulls a Seton Hall on their ass/es.

Literally talking about this season and the lack of nba talent on it. And the fact they’ll be a 2 seed.

The point here isn’t that Otzelberger is a better head coach than Self ( but maybe this iteration of Self ) but that this team has more than enough talent to be as good as Iowa State. We don’t need one and done NBA draft picks to be good.

He took over a team that had 2 wins the season previous to his starting.

And that's a fair stance to take.

I think we need more talent. More shooting. And more of the best players. The best players tend to end up in the NBA. I don't care if they are 1, 2, 3, or 4 year players. I just want better players.

Iowa State has to do it the way they are doing it. We don't have to do it their way.

I do not think Self should be getting out recruited by Calipari, Scott Drew, etc (and he hasn't/doesn't always). And not just the rankings of the recruits we are getting. The evaluation of those recruits.

Elmarko and Dillingham were ranked right next to each other....which one of our coaches watched those 2 players and decided Elmarko was better? I don't think one or two top 50 players in a class is acceptable. I think we should be getting more of the top 10-15 recruits than we have been lately. And Bidunga is a good start.

I know you're sorta anti-one and done, and anti-high end transfer, but I am not. I don't think your way is wrong. I just don't think it's the way we have to go. Especially with maybe 5-7 years or less of Self left. I want to have 5-7 more shots at national titles. Not 1 or 2 more.

68-34 at Iowa State sounds to me like pretty good coaching actually.

Pretty solid.

NC State is a great example of why you want to keep conference tournament winners as auto berths.
