Also games started, minutes played.
But here's one area where I struggle so badly to understand what you're even trying to accomplish: if I found myself in the position of arguing how much better Vick is than he's given credit for...I'd probably do the Homer-disappearing-into-the-bushes thing a little bit over him, you know, not being with the team down the stretch in the year that costs us the streak.

"I think it's fine to criticize his on the court behavior.
And his off the court behavior if it's something that is hurting others.

There are 2 main problems I have an issue with:
1. Discrediting his accomplishments on the court - he's an above average to good player - his mistakes are exacerbated on this board.
2. To celebrate his absence because of a personal matter not knowing at all what it could be."

Ok. I don't know if we'll ever know what really happened (or if it's fair or right to). I think it is very likely that it's not something that just 100% happened to Vick.

So if you're as serious about #1 as you seem to be...then I hope you at least allow for the possibility that Vick is responsible for hurting his teammates and our program by whatever it is that has caused him to leave when he did.

I certainly think there is a possibility Vick is responsible for hurting his teammates and his program by whatever it is that caused him to leave - and I think his leaving actually lowers our ceiling ( but perhaps raises our floor ). But he was an above average/good player when he was on the court. And placing losses on him and wins on everyone else is very flawed imo.

I bet if you say it a 5,798th time your point will finally get across.

I would argue the exact same thing for posters who keep coming back here with their own point.

Has there been any news at all regarding Vick? I've heard nothing, like he fell off the planet.

We shot 22% from 3 ( thank god for that bank by Grimes and Charlie’s garbage time prayer ) in a must win game vs a 6-10 conference team who wasn’t particularly strong on defense. The argument we are better without Vick just sunk with our conference title hopes.

then he shouldn’t have quit on his teammates and dipped out

I'm not too sure his coach/es and teammates didn't quit on him - and pushed him out.
Moral, continuity, whatever reason/s people felt losing Vick would help this team - not having a productive Vick on the floor in no way helped this team.

What are you talking about? Blowout loosses don't count. Didn't you see us barely beat bad struggling teams? We've improved A TON.

Because of a single game where making a couple more threes wouldn’t have helped in the slightest, because the team looked limp and disengaged from the start?

Ok. Must bump.

You think he's hurting team chemistry?

How's it altering my body language?

That or last night being the culmination of what set out to be a very promising season and has ended up being a major disappointment - and the Vick fiasco playing a role in it?
I get someone being a "cancer" and needing to rid yourself of him but as I alluded to in an earlier post this morning, anytime you take away a guy who proved he's capable of having back to back 30 point games where he shoots 23-32 from the field, 15-20 from 3 point land, and has 12 rebounds, I think the guy can help you more than he will hurt you by having him on the floor.
No, Vick probably wouldn't have been the difference between a W and an L last night but he very well may have been the difference between KU winning #15 and not winning #15.

Glad this is what you thought of after we lost the streak. This super important convo. Congrats on your big "I told you so". Hanging it all on one hideosu game as your final argument, despite multiple hideous games both with and without Vick. Whatever helps you deal with it I suppose.
