Exciting end to the day with two 12 seeds picking up wins to close the first round.

SEC showing is a tourney record, and obviously not in a good way
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

And all 5 of their losses were to teams seeded lower than them.

I understand Wright and others blaming/defending/pointing out Cal had a bunch of Freshmen on their roster. Just like you said Trad, it's his fault and it's not his fault - at the same time. I will add it's NOT "all" he has/had. He had 2 seniors who were big contributors.

If age is/was THEE factor, then how come no one wants to point out Kentucky just beat Tennessee - who is loaded with Seniors and Juniors that play all the minutes for their team?

There are always excuses when a team loses. Again, they are often valid but spare me river crying.
Age and experience or not, Kentucky was playing good basketball at the end of the season. I feel they lost because the other team played out of their asses and Kentucky had an off night. Shit happens.
Everyone loses in the tournament. Except one team. EXCUSES FOR EVERYONE!!!!

i don’t disagree, and it’s just yet another factor in why the tourney doesn’t result in the best team winning it all but maybe, what, half the time?

Absolutely. And his senior Antonio Reeves played well.

Just like we blame Self for the lack of shooting on this roster.

Head coach also means GM in CBB.

Schadenfreude is a Hell of a thing until it hits your own team in a court rushing.

17pt lead to 7 pt lead in under 2 minutes....Dayton rattles out a 3 at the buzzer that would've cut it to 4

Creighton over Oregon in 2OT was an awesome game. Super entertaining and always close. Lived up to expectations.

Look at this shit....oakland shooting NIL after game 1 and then losing to NC State. Serves them right.

Gotta cash in on their 15 seconds of fame. Not as bad as the football player who entered the transfer portal, committed to Iowa and essentially stole 100k in NIL, and then reentered the portal

Oregon L cost me some $. Would have been just fine if they lost by a few in regulation or the 1st OT.
Oh well. Shit happens.

Worthless predictions for today.....

Marquette beats the shit out of Colorado (forgetting my brackets - I don't care one way or the other who wins)
Purdue beats Utah State (forgetting my brackets - I hope not)
Duke beats James Madison (forgetting my brackets - I hope not)
Baylor beats Clemson (forgetting my brackets - I don't care one way or the other who wins)
Alabama beats Grand Canyon (forgetting my brackets - I hope not)
UConn beats the shit out of Northwestern (forgetting my brackets - I hope not)
Houston beats A&M (forgetting my brackets - I don't care one way or the other who wins)
Yale beats SDSU by 1, 2, or 3 (forgetting my brackets - I don't care one way or the other who wins)

Hmmmmm. Danny (Manning) was at the KU game yesterday. I thought that was great he was there to support KU. Then I realized, his primary reason why he was there (in Utah) was to support his son.
I noticed Danny was wearing red. I didn't notice if it was KU or AZ gear.

I don't think Colorado wants to win this game against Marquette.
