I am full on pulling for UConn. Best team and best coach left. They deserve to win it. They win the right way. The play the right way.

Big UConn fan.

oof

big big disagree here.

Huh? KU got a 10 seed in the Elite Eight in '22 and then an 8 seed in the Finals. UConn is getting a 3 that's 9th in the nation is scoring and then might get either Purdue or Houston in the Finals if they make it.

I like Hurley.
I think their program is legit.
They are the best team this season.

I don't want them to win because I don't like programs to catch up to Kansas in terms of overall elite programs.

yes

(except your first sentence)
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

This. UConn fans are already arrogant enough thinking that they own the sport. And Hurley is an arrogant foul mouthed asshole who threatens fans in the stands while standing next to security guards who will protect him.

Definitely more of that northeast vibe. It's not for everybody, that's for sure. Pitino has it, Cal too. Although, I think Hurley is much more likeable than either of those two.

Yeah, but Illy would probably tell you he's "sure" Hurley is a such good dude.
He's not.
I think he's a better dude than Nate Oats.

As far as thinking they "own the sport"

So do Kentucky fans.
So do Duke fans.
So do UNC fans.

...and so do Kansas fans.

What are you expecting here? That's part of being a fan.

We're Kansas fans so we are enlightened enough to know the Kansas fans are the correct group of that bunch, but I don't expect the others to bow down or anything.

UConn isn't a bluebood because those don't change. But they're a modern day elite program.

They're also the reigning champs. And if they go back to back they will cement themselves as one of the greatest dynasties in the modern day.

That might be a bit dramatic when you look at what actually happened.
