it should piss off everyone. Dolly is talented and genuinely kind. That song is one of my favorites. Beyonce slaughtered it...and not in a good way It's awful. Beyonce's foray into country is not a successful venture

First time ever there isn't a single performer I can say I really want to see/hear.
Doesn't mean there aren't performers I wouldn't like to see/hear. There are ALAWYS performers I have never seen/heard that I end up enjoying.
All that being said, I am probably not going this year.
For the same amount of money I usually pay for Lollapalooza, I could fly to Vegas, stay in a hotel, go see/hear Dead & Company at The Sphere, and go see some other band/musician perform.

On a related note.... I will be in LA during the 2nd Coachella weekend.
There are multiple performers I would like to see/hear. Could drive a couple hours and go Friday and Saturday. Probably won't.
"Couple of hours" =3+ hours

That second weekend is not particularly packed with performers that could sit through, but I could do:
Khruangbin
Blur
Tyler, the Creator
Deftones
Rufus Du Sol

A lot of truth there. But country is largely dead like pop. You could argue that this might bring a new audience.

define country music because

George Strait, Dwight Yoakum, Alan Jackson aren't outlaw country but they're damn good.

I like outlaw country too but can't discount those dudes,

I view dead music as auto tuned, drum machines, and keyed in C

also this one

https://youtu.be/hh-jwdWmgxg?si=cCCV1xS9YRzOJXVM

makes me wanna drink a beer by a campfire in Wyoming after a wore out day of branding. ha

altho last time I went branding they had a bunch of yearlings they'd missed the year before and, as the ground guy, I got my ass kicked over and over again. it wasn't the most pleasant day.

cowshit, drool, sweat, burning flesh, dirt and mud, horse sweat, leather, smoke, beer whiskey and chili haha

good times. seriously tho, that shit was exhausting. We used to do it up in a mountain corral not at the ranch. Unique smells and sound, angry mamas temporarily seperated from calfs, the bulls coming down out of the high country stomping around. Gorgeous country, middle of nowhere, just really something different than most people experience. I havent been in about 10 years now.

it’s been more than 30 for me

we had friends from 4H when we lived in New Mexico that we’d help out when they needed. they’ve still got ~5500 acres near Lindrith

they had two cattle dogs, Ding and Dong, that would ride in the saddle

seems a lifetime ago
