It was here in Omaha after Creighton whipped UConn's ass.
maybe it happened more than once, because the article I quoted above I'm pretty sure was a game against providence. Unless I read it wrong. Which is possible.
or, he’s just a serial douchebag
well there's no doubt about that

The first 15 minutes of this game was amazingly well played by both teams. Uconn's length and physicality are just wearing Purdue down.

The UConn defense has a lot to do with it. They are bigger than Purdue and they are chasing them off their 3s.
Yep.
When was the last time a Purdue got a pass and was even looking to take a three? They are doing nothing but feeding Edey. Looks like the same results as when KU would force feed HD without even thinking of anything else.

I’ve been ready for this season to be over after the BYU loss at home.

Guess twocoach doesn’t like good basketball.

UConn has put on a clinic.

They aren't doubling Edey. They aren't open enough to shoot. They want to. They just can't get enough space.

UConn defense was locked in. Special performance. 12 straight tournament wins all by double digits. Unreal.

Dynasty.

The more I watched the game/tourney, I have no idea how we beat them. They were/are damn good.

I don't get it. I thought that was a great game.

Special performance by Edey. Great strategy by UConn to play him straight up for the most part and totally lock down the other guys.

Allen Fieldhouse is how.

And no Stephon Castle helped too.

Has to be the greatest 2 year tournament run in modern tournament history.

I don't think this UConn team or last is a top team (individually) in history, but I'd be shocked if any of the repeat champs (*modern era) won all 12 games by double digits or had this margin of victory over a span of the 12 tournament games.

It's also been a while since the overall #1 seed won iirc.

I agree, Allen and no Castle were factors. As well as....

UConn 23-56 FG
KU 23-46 FG

UConn 11-28 3pt
KU 9-14 3pt

UConn 8-15 FT
KU 14-20 FT

They were a damn good team 38 out of 40 games this season - including the KU game. They just happened to lose that game.
Seton Hall and Creighton (in February) games they were not damn good.

Here are two crazy (to me) things.

They lost Sonogo and Hawkins (I feel their 2 best players) and they were probably a better team this season.

Last season they had a stretch where they were 2-6 and were 5-6 in conference at the time. The rest of the season they were 29-2.

Cam Spencer was a huge get.
He was a better player than anyone from last season not named Sanogo.

And then everyone on the roster improved.

College hoops is way more fun when everyone on the roster improves.

1) Allen Fieldhouse
2) Bill Self
3) Castle didn't play
4) Spencer hurt his foot in the game
5) Kansas game planned an excellent defensive game plan, especially against Clingan
6) We made 9-14 threes

UConn has put on a clinic.
It's simple. I had no interest in watching UConn win another title. I watched as long as Purdue had a shot but once it became clear that wasn't happening, I moved on to other interests.

Serious question...

Who do you think is better at evaluating the basketball improvement of an indivudal Kansas player?

A) Bill Self
B) Ousdahl
