I'll take 10th overall, yes please.
Use our higher 5th and our 3rd next season to get one of Atlanta's 6th rounders this year and move to Atlanta's spot, 8th, and draft Odunze.

I was pretty dumb as a kid, I never walked away from an wreck that I caused where people were hurt.

Time, place, resources.

I am not, by any stretch, saying that Rice did no wrong here.

Six games is a typical Chief suspension.

I'd generally agree recently...but then you look at Tyreek Hill and go, hm, that probably shoulda been more.

I don’t think “young, dumb kid” privilege extends to cover this situation altogether. But nor do I think it’s something that, on its own, should result in trading $1 for two quarters and a nickel. Frankly, as disappointing and frustrating as it is, this situation probably end up being a net positive to the Chiefs strictly from a contract standpoint.

Ok this thing is very cool.

https://espnanalytics.com/draft-sim/

What I have been doing is picking Chiefs...load draft.

Next is make a trade and we can get the Eagles #22 for our #32 and the second 2025 3rd

Just look at the names you can get.

That’s fun but the value of next years 3rd isn’t worth 10 spots in the first.

I traded up twice ( gave away next years 3rd ) and down once and came away with:

25 Brian Thomas Jr WR
59 TJ Tampa CB
123 Ray Davis RB
126 Jalyx Hunt DE/OLB
131 Matt Gonclaves OT
159 Malik Mustapha S
173 Erick All TE
221 Logan Lee DT

So I went to another site that offers trades...lol I traded back 4 times. First I did the Eagles trade up for the 2025 3rd.
I ended up with

64 Kingsley SUAMATAIA OT
65 DJ JAMES CB
95 Gabriel MURPHY DE
101 Audric ESTIME RB
132 Mohamed KAMARA DE
142 Ainias SMITH WR
159 Xavier THOMAS DE
173 Elijah JONE CB
252 Michael BARRETT LB

I also got 2025 picks

RD 2 NYG
RD 3 CAR + SEA
RD 4 NYJ + DET
RD 6 NYG
RD 7 NYJ + CAR

Also three players

Cedric BOSWEL CB DET

Xavier GIPSON WR NYJ

And Tyler LOCKETT WR SEA

Tyler Lockett and Suamataia would check our boxes.
What a time suck ( and also unrealistic ).

I ended up trading the 1st pick for Chris Godwin and then to make cap space for him shed Charles Omenihu's contract in a trade giving up him and the 2nd pick to move up higher in the 2nd.

WR, Tackle and CB needs met.
Get Jalyx Hunt to make up for Omenihu's departure.
Mahomes has Hollywood, Godwin and Rice ( and Tahj Washington to eventually, maybe even this season, replace Kadarius Toney ) at WR.
Bucky fuckin' Irving.

Chris Godwin
39 Tyler Guton OT
89 Bucky Irving RB
95 Andru Phillips CB
132 Jalyx Hunt DE
150 Sione Vaki S
166 Beaux Limmer C
173 Logan Lee DT
199 Gabe Hall DT
219 Tahj Washington WR

There is a solid level of talent throughout the first several rounds. Nobody stands out to me as franchise saving. I see some WRs that will be drafted early who will make TMZ happy. Best available athlete at positions.
