Re: G’Day Mate Johnny Furphy
We suddenly have a potential log jam of wings/forwards
Storr, Griffen, KJ, furphy, kugel, jamari, passmore, clemence
And I don't know if any of them can really play the 2 the way bill traditionally likes a secondary ball handler there

Re: G’Day Mate Johnny Furphy
Zeke might be a better fit to start at the 2 than anyone else
Re: G’Day Mate Johnny Furphy
jamari 1/2
Griffen 2/3
Kugel 2/3
Furphy 2.5/3.5
Storr 3/4
KJ 4/5
Clemence 4/5
you lumped together a whole chunk of dissimilar players together right there
I mean? from Jamari to Clemence and KJ? you might as well include everyone else and say omg how are they gonna all play the same spot?

Knew someone would... thats why i said wing/forward.
That whole group is kind of multi positional
I see kj, storr, and clemence all competing for minutes at the 4. Storr will be playing minutes at the 3 also obviously. And clemence and kj will probably play 5 as well. Hell we could 4 guard lineups with any combination of Griffen furphy or kugel out there at the 4 as well
We got a big group of dudes there competing for minutes at different spots, and self has the luxury of tinkering with lineups and skillsets more so than last year

Storr 2/3/4
Kugel 2/3 (not going to matter since it doesn't seem like he's coming)
Kj 3/4/5
Clemence 4/5
Furphy 2/3
Griffen 2/3
So, pretty close to yours. Clemence isn't a wing.

I don't think Kj will be any meaningful minutes at the 5 next year with HD and Bidunga. Something has gone terribly wrong if we end up with Kj at the 5.randylahey wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 5:36 pmKnew someone would... thats why i said wing/forward.

I say: "We have a log jam of wing/forwards"
Why is everyone telling me clemence isn't a wing and ignoring the forward part?
Clemence is competing for minutes at the 4 and 5. Depending on lineups and situations. All these guys are pretty versatile and competing for minutes with eachother. How self pieces it all together will evolve over the course of the season, we have a lot of versatile players that can play several positions. It'll be fun watching self tinker with that and find what lineups play best together

I agree. But he's an option there. We can play position less basketball with a lot of these guys. We got a handful of tall athletes that can shoot and guard multiple positions. That's high level modern basketballDeletedUser wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 8:33 pmI don't think Kj will be any meaningful minutes at the 5 next year with HD and Bidunga. because you lumped a weird conglomerate of dudes in there to create a point.randylahey wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 8:41 pm I say: "We have a long jam of wing/forwards"

that's like saying. we've got 12 guys but only 5 of them can play at a time. Umm, yep, that's how this sport works.

Not really. We have three guys that are exclusively gonna play combo guard 1/2 spot in dajuan zeke and elmarko, and we have 2 guys who are gonna only play the 5 in hunter and bidungaTDub wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 9:07 pmbecause you lumped a weird conglomerate of dudes in there to create a point.randylahey wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 8:41 pm I say: "We have a long jam of wing/forwards"

Everyone else are versatile players you'd expect to play multiple position in different lineups and right now it's impossible to guess how the depth chart with all them is going to play out

See, Randy has spelled out every possible scenario.
It’s how he keeps his Cal Ripken- like streak of predictions going

He’d better hope Anthony Edwards wins MVP and NBA Finals MVP next three seasons running then.

I'd go with long Island medium or miss cleo...but..yea, super impressive nonetheless...Overlander wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 10:20 pmSee, Randy has spelled out every possible scenario.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: G’Day Mate Johnny Furphy
I predict Johnny Furphy will play basketball at Kansas or another college, the NBA or internationally next season.
