Re: Doke OUT for Season.
Hopefully, not to mention it is probably in Dok’s interest
Re: Doke OUT for Season.
While I get why he’s leaving I’m not sure it’s 100% in his best interest.
His stock as a player is very low right now and I think there’s time/the chance to change the way he plays some. He’s still a young dude.

Re: Doke OUT for Season.
I think he looked his bounciest ever at the beginning of this season. maaaybe even showed a knack for blocking shots.
but as a whole, what does he gain by coming back next year? cuz I'm afraid the only thing he proved by coming back this year is that he's even more injury prone than we thought.
considering that, dude should prob go sign whatever pro contract he can ASAP.

Self might be ready to move on, too. I like Udoka on and off the court, but you can’t really count on the guy.
Re: Doke OUT for Season.
He doesn't have any more wrists to injure.
I only came to kick some ass...
Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.

Re: Doke OUT for Season.
As of right now, our front court at the very least is DMac and Mitch, right?
And surely we’ll get a new recruit or two. And KJ if you wanna count him. And maaaybe Dedric wants a redemption season?
And maybe Silvio will finally get that Certified Amateur status. Again.

Re: Doke OUT for Season.
Probably looking at mostly 4-guard lineups next year.
Even if we somehow steal Hurt, he can play on the perimeter.

Re: Doke OUT for Season.
ugh.
I don't think that works unless you have a guy like Josh Jackson at the 4...and even then teams with two bigs had their way with us..and we don't have a guy like that.
Or a truly dominant big man who can OWN the paint by himself, and McCormack has a LONG way to go to become that, if he even can.

It's just the personnel and the direction basketball is going.
What has and will hurt us is Garrett on the offensive side of the ball. Hurt would really lessen the hurt here.

Re: Doke OUT for Season.
I would like Hurt as a stretch 4. Where you're playing a true big guy on the perimeter on offense to spread the floor, but can defend either a big guy or a big wing. But it looks like he might be headed to dook.
Playing 4 out is fine with me, playing 4 guards leaves you pretty vulnerable to any physical or big team.

Yep. Self's his initial reaction to the injury suggests that he doesn't really think of Dok as particularly tough or reliable.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 8:12 am Self might be ready to move on, too. I like Udoka on and off the court, but you can’t really count on the guy.

And it did, a lot, as you said, when Jackson was at the 4.PhDhawk wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 10:27 am I would like Hurt as a stretch 4. I think we need Hurt so bad.
Hurts so good.

Speaking of Dok and Hurt......
Are we 100% sure Dok can't play in the tournament?
