Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Maybe I’m old.
Maybe this is Biden fault.
But 6.50 for one taco is too much.
It's sort of food gentrification, right?

There were Taco Tuesday Taco John’s nights in college where I had worked an extra half shift at Zarco 66 that week and came in ready to spend an extra 5 dollars on top of my regular 4.

I was a king.

Today In: Reasonable requests!

Any chance the mods could delete this thread?

Having the subject of "tacos", one of my favorite foods in the world, constantly put in front of me when I only sleep 4-5 hours/day, get up b/ 4 & 5 am and then don't eat my first meal until at least noon if not 3-4 pm, is a mountain too high. Have some mercy!

If you lived in Florida where the "Mexican food" is sub par, you might be willing to pay that for a good taco.

I'd pay $7.00 for that:

Mexican food in Florida…don’t you mean Puerto Rican?

Or like, Cuban B?

I'd say Cuban > Puerto Rican.

You know it's bad when you start to look forward to having a Taco Bell taco.

And to be clear, it's not that the "Mexican" food here is bad, it's just not very good.

I have a feeling it might actually cost you several vacations, a boat you don't want, and still end up costing you half a house, most of your retirement and and least a chunk of your soul.

could be an expensive lunch.

So Chipotle used to be a fave fast-ish food of mine.

But I feel like any more I find myself hesitating for the sake of my digestive health.

Has my gut got weaker and weaker, or has chipotle really just gone more and more downhill?

I remember many years ago, probably .com, giving Gutter shit because he said Chipotle was his favorite Mexican restaurant.
