Here is the not so funny thing. Most of the time Goebert was playing really good defense on him.

I have to laugh and admit that Finch and the Wolves had me fooled after game 2.
He's no Mike Malone and they are no Nuggets.

I didn’t get to see it but sometimes Joker just does things you can’t stop.

Gobert has done as good a job as you could on him in games 1 and 3.

It was just one of those games where he shows that he's the best player in the league.

It didn't hurt that his kick out guys like KCP (4/5 from 3) were on fire too.

No Mike Conley hurt. And I think everyone can come back to reality on Anthony Edwards after that 5/15 shooting performance.

Denver has completely flipped this series. Not sure Minnesota has enough left to steal game 6 AND 7.

I like Chuck. I don't always agree with him and sometimes I think (know?) he's an idiot, but he's in the entertainment business and I feel he does a good job of entertaining.

That being said,
I'm kind of surprised Chuck said what he said being that as a member of the Suns....
In 1993, granted they were close loses, they were down 0-2 to the Lakers and won the series 3-2
In 1994, granted they were close wins, they were up 2-0 on the Rockets and lost the series 4-3
In 1995, they were blow out wins (130-108 and 118-94), they were up 2-0 to the Rockets and lost the series 4-3.

Sometimes your plan works and you can handcuff a great player for a period of time. But Denver has been able to adjust and Minnesota has not had an answer for their adjustments. And like you said, Jokic was hitting from everywhere last night against some overall really good defense. He was just better.

Jokic has 32 9 and 8 in game 1, and 16 16 and 8 in game 2. Both losses.

You can't "handcuff" Jokic. But you can limit the other guys. Which they (twolves) haven't done in games 3-5.

I am not sure Denver has had to do much adjustment on the offensive side of the ball. The only big adjustment that I've seen is basically non stop doubling Anthony Edwards and making the other guys be the ones who have to beat them.

Minnesota's ability to adjust has been neutralized because they've had key players out in several games. KAT is hobbled. Gobert missed a game and then was rusty coming back. Conley was out last night.

I was just going to post that.

I'm behind so I can FF thru the commercials, but he got a lot of mentions in the first half.

And he just hit another 3!!!

I never was the biggest Morris twins fan but even though I wanted the Celtics to win I couldn’t help slightly cheering for “old man” Marcus with a throwback. He kept the Cavs close til the end.

If that’s his last game it for sure as hell was a good one.

I never liked them that much either*, but I can't help but root for a former Jayhawk.

And I'm not a Cavs fan at all, but like for all the best of 7 contests to go 7 games, 'cause I'm selfish.

While doubtful it will happen, Kieff still has a chance to win his 2nd ring this season.

SLIGHT possibility if there are games 6 and 7 of the Eastern Finals, I will be able to attend them.
Being that I got completely fucked by the Lakers when I was in LA, I fully expect there will not be a Game 6 or 7 of the Eastern Finals in Boston when I am there. OR, there will be and I won't be able to attend them.

He really has been one of the most underrated players of the past decade and a half. All that dude does is win and play good basketball

I love me some Horford.
Even as recent as last year he was a very underrated defender too.
This season he has very visibly lost that step.

It would make sense.
I don’t like how the Celtics really haven’t been pushed yet bc both teams have lost their best players.
And if the Knicks go through they might be hobbled too.

I want Dallas or OKC in the finals now bc of my concerns.

I'm no basketball expert, but all the talking heads were kind of trashing Gobert's defense on Jokic and saying KAT has done a better job....and now Minnesota starts the game with KAT guarding Jokic. Which is weird, because KAT sort of sucks at defense.

I don't get it. I haven't thought Gobert has been "bad" by any means. And I don't like Rudy Gobert.

I'd guess you're pretty happy with the first half.

When Denver was up 9 to 2 early, I began hoping that the Wolves would manage to make it respectable, and worth watching.
