the people of georgia must be so proud

The hearing was derailed when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., responded to a question from Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, by saying, “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.”…
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

The video of the incident is so depressing. Imagine, a pos individual like MTG commenting on someone else's physical appearance... (And, I've never said this but it occurs to me often, can you possibly imagine waking up next to MTG every morning? sorrynotsorry

Unfortunately, like so many other Republicans, MTG's constituents have no real interest in her working to get things done in an effort to improve the lives of Americans, but instead, to keep the government from doing its work while being performative instead of productive.

add to that the unwillingness of her party’s leadership to reign her in…it’s almost like they actually want the spectacle

surely not, though…

Rumor has it that the majority of the Republican house caucus is tired of her shit too, but they have such a narrow majority they can't do much of anything about her.

She's like so many other load-bearing defects in the party. She obviously sucks, but the nature of the way in which she sucks means she drives an essential* amount of messaging and financial support.

* She should not be too proud of this: drawing dead, policy-wise, nearly ANY amount of support is essential at this point.

Republican standing joke James Comer is the chairman of the committee, and therefore ostensibly "in charge", so what would you expect?

LanaQuest aka RosaSparks
@LqLana
Racism and microaggression.

The need for DEI training right before your very eyes.

MTG attacks
@JasmineForUS
appearance.

Representative Crockett defends herself, and that is the problem.

She is told to “calm down.” “You’re out of control” and “I can't hear you with your yelling.”

The trope is that Black women are loud and aggressive. Rep. Crockett was defending herself after being body-shamed. They ignored MTGs comments until Jasmine spoke out.

Video link: Jasmine Crockett is “that bitch” and MTG will find out soon enough. “Bleach Blond Bad Built Butch Body.”

Republicans love to talk over the top of speaking rights of others. They have nothing to say, but it looks good in a fundraiser.

No, the better I get to know Fetterman the more of a disappointment he becomes. In this case, conflating AOC with MTG.

Yeah, that's a winner! And so is Raskin. I think he has a very bright political future in the Democratic party.

I thought you were going to post a gif of this:

Jamie Raskin’s reaction after hearing Rep. Jasmine Crockett call Marjorie Taylor Greene, #BleachBlondeBadBuiltButchBody 😂

misery, not to be outdone…

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/ ... 733135007/

“In America, you can be anything you want,” Valentina Gomez says in a social media video as she runs through an idyllic small town in a weighted vest with an American flag emblem on the front.

“So don’t be weak and gay,” she continues in the Sunday post that's no longer available. “Stay f------ hard.”

Then, the lyrics to Lupe Fiasco’s “The Show Goes On" kick in and we see a photo of Gomez in front of a pickup and next to an American flag, wearing a hat for the National Rifle Association and gripping an assault-style rifle in one hand, a handgun in the other...

This asshole also, when shown an image of Trump sleeping in his criminal trial, said Trump was probably praying, not sleeping.

That she didn’t immediately burst into flames of unquenchable hellfire is humanity’s best evidence yet that god does not exist.

Let's talk about the GOP, Missouri, and the Governor's race...
