“detained”

sounds like he tried to bypass a police barricade associated with a pedestrian accident just to get to the clubhouse

pretty dumb
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Might have to run by the local country clubs to be sure everyone is safe, what with the burning of BLUE LIVES MATTER flags and all.

As much as I dislike Twitter, there is some excellent stuff on there regarding Scottie.

Sheffler stated that they were told by police that the PGA people should go around. He was doing what he was told to do. Sounds like one cop who wasn't looped into the plan got carried away.

The country clubs exclude the people who protect them. Yay.

So the cop makes the decision to "attach himself to his car" (I assume that means he grabbed onto the side and held on) and then when he inevitably falls off, the guy gets charged with felony assault of a police officer. What a fucking world we live in.

That charge should be dropped immediately. The worst that had happened prior to that point was that you have someone who didn't heed directions given by the cop, a misdemeanor. Now thanks to the COP'S action, it has now been escalated to a felony. Ridiculous.

They say he dragged the cop, but witnesses don't seem to back that up. And the golfer is about as nice a guy as you can imagine so intentionally doing any of this seems highly unlikely to me.

That's the way I like to see a guy win a major.

Yes. He earned that.
With the added benefit that DeChambeau didn't win.

I used to absolutely hate Bryson.

He's matured a lot over the last several years. I find him much more likeable now. Admittedly I don't watch LIV, so maybe my opinion would change if I did.

He does seem less irritating with time.

I hope it's because he's older and wiser.

I wonder if it's due to less cameras in his face constantly not doing the week to week PGA circuit.

Also, this was cool...

This doesn't seem to support the statement by the cop that he was dragged on the ground by Sheffler. Looks to the eye like they lied to hang a trumped up felony charge on him. My shocked face...

Woodland's -1 under after 13 today, so looks like he'll likely make the cut.

That always makes weekends more interesting, and fun.

Strong finish after that. He is in contention now!
