Other than my saying I can't help but wonder if the dude realizes there is a difference between one dollar bills and one hundred dollar bills - and how people perceive those who feel the need to flash them around.

Mecole Hardman back on the Chiefs.
I like this signing.
Still has speed, knows our system, can serve as a kick returner and won't hurt the cap.

Kansas really making a push to land the Chiefs.
40% of me is thinking, aw man, Arrowhead won't be nearly as loud now and I hope they don't fuck up the tailgaiting experience.
60% is thinking, fuck you Mizzou, this rules!
Not really interested in the Royals moving to Kansas.

Serena with a nice jab a butker during the espys
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Jerry Rice Threatens Reporters on Golf Course: "I Will F*** You Up!!!"
NFL legend Jerry Rice had a heated altercation with two reporters on a golf course Thursday, resulting in threats caught on video obtained by TMZ Sports.
The incident occurred during Rice's practice round at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe. The tension began when Kansas City-based media members asked Rice about the Chiefs' 2024 wide receiver core, questioning if they were "good enough to win another Super Bowl."
The reporters, from Starcade Media, later clarified they did not intend to upset Rice with their question about Kansas City's wideouts. They explained on their Facebook page that they only wanted to know if the Chiefs’ 2024 wideout group "had improved enough to continue winning at a high level."
Initially, Rice walked away, but he quickly returned, confronting the reporters and telling one, "I will f*** you up!" The Hall of Famer continued to yell, "If you want some, come get some!" before eventually walking away.
The reporters, shocked by the encounter, said it was "the craziest thing that's ever happened in my life."
When speaking to TMZ Sports on Friday, Rice insisted the journalists intended to provoke him, interpreting their question as a slight against his former team, the 49ers. He explained, "I'm going to defend the San Francisco 49ers. This is my history."
Despite the confrontation, cooler heads prevailed, and Rice completed his round without further incidents. Later, he was seen in good spirits, dancing at a nearby casino and taking selfies with fans.

Sadly, most people are too dumb to recognize that Butker said nothing to warrant that kind of attack.

"that kind of attack".
Let me guess, you really have no fricking clue what Serena said?
Nor do you have a fricking clue how Butker responded to it?

Huh? You read what "all"? What BOTH Williams and Butler said you feel was childish and petty? Or just what Williams said and you don't know what Butker said?JKLivin wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 8:44 pmI read it all. You are of course entitled to your opinion.
My opinion is yes, Williams words about Butker were somewhat "petty" but I am not a black woman who came from poverty and is an extremely successful (financially and in regards to achievements in her sport) athlete. If I was, I just might appreciate them and feel they are far from being "petty".
These were Butker's words if you didn't read them......
“I thought Mrs. Williams was a great host and applaud her for using her platform to express her beliefs on a variety of topics”.
“Sports are supposed to be the great unifier and at an event dedicated to celebrating a diverse group of men and women who have accomplished great feats,” “She used it as an opportunity to disinvite those with whom she disagrees with from supporting fellow athletes.”

Re: Chiefs Offseason 2024
Butler’s original address was to Catholics, not to the general population, nor to Jehovah’s Witnesses, which I believe the Williams sisters are. I don’t agree with everything he said, but it was pretty standard conservative Catholic dogma. Certainly not worthy of what they said or did in response.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 9:02 pmHuh? You read what "all"? One thing people don't take in to account is while Butker was speaking for himself, he was announced and referred to as Super Bowl winning Kansas City Chiefs placekicker (not sure why Placekicker wasn't capitalized) Harrison Butker.

I get why a successful Black Female Athlete who rose from rags to riches would have a problem with at least one of the things he said.

Re: Chiefs Offseason 2024
Butker damned himself in his rebuttal. I think he might become less effective as a kicker too with that much simmering hostility now.
