Gutter's 5 Questions for a Thursday in Early June
1. Do you remember parts of your dream/s from last night (or this morning)?
2. Better abbreviated name. Shak Mo or Elmar Jack?
3. The return of a typical Gutter #3!
Assuming you are straight, you have an attractive opposite sex co-worker that you become friendly with and invite to a sporting event. The co-worker tells you he/she would "love to go but" he/she has a boyfriend/girlfriend. You tell the co-worker that it's not a date, you're asking in a platonic manner, other co-workers are going and will be sitting with you, and if they would "love to go", then why not go? The co-worker tells you he/she has to ask the boyfriend/girlfriend if it will be ok.
The co-worker comes back and says the boyfriend/girlfriend said it is ok.
You go to the sporting event and the co-worker tells you that they are having a great time and would love to go to more events with YOU.
Without asking for clarification, do you take that to mean JUST with you, or with other co-workers as well?
4. Loud non emergency repairs/maintenance on public buildings and/or roads in a highly populated area.
i.e. Exterior repairs involving tuck pointing on a high rise building and/or street repairs/improvements that involve jack hammers.
a. What is earliest acceptable time in the morning for the workers to begin?
b. What is the latest acceptable time in the evening for them to stop working?
5. WARNING!!!! This one is disgusting. You may not want to read and answer.
I just took a crap in which I had a turd that was over a foot long. I didn't take a pic so thankfully (for you) I won't share any photos of it. Unless you know the exact measurement, what would you guesstimate was the longest turd (in inches) that you have excreted?

Your #4 is a solid response. It was a general question but in regards to my building and street....
The things that suck are....
a. A LOT of people work from home now. They have to leave the building to work because it's too loud and disruptive.
b. I live in a building with a lot of doctors and nurses (and people of other professions) who work night shifts. They have/need to sleep during the day. They are unable to do as such.
Such is life. Inconveniences happen.
Your #3 doesn't pertain to me right now but it sort of has in the past. The nice thing was the boyfriend was cool with me (and just her and I going to events together as "friends") and they are now living happily married with two kids.

1. I've been alternating between icing and heating pad on my neck since just before 3am. It's 5:30 now, working on getting enough movement in it to go to work and get the shit done I need to get done. I did not dream.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 6:26 am 1. Re: Gutter's 5 Questions for a Thursday in Early June
1. Like I do very often, I remember my dream just moments after I wake, but then forget it soon after. But I know that there was a period of when I remembered ( or was I dreaming then too?! )
2. Shak Mo ( is this for Moore? Neither are good )
3. have her break up with him then break up with her
4. 7 AM to 7 PM
5. I very much recall one in college that was pretty epic and I had to leave it in there for my roommates to marvel at. I would not do that now.

I understand people work from home, work night shift etc...but what are they supposed to do? coordinate with each individual in the city? work has to happen, repairs have to be made. People bitch and moan if things don't get maintained and don't work properly.....then they bitch and complain when the work that needs to happen inconveinces them.....You live in a huge city, with lots of noise at all hours.....thats part of the package.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 6:59 amI expected to read similar responses to #5.DeletedUser wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 6:35 am 1. One of the small perks of being in the office 5 days a week from 8am to 5pm is that I don't have to deal with construction noise on or near my apartment. Now that being said, I have been home recovering from medical procedures and can't sleep/rest when there are continuous loud noises.
Shit happens. Right?

#5 Yeah, these days I might refer to it as a Randy Marsher.pdub wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 7:52 am 1. Like I do very often, I remember my dream just moments after I wake, but then forget it soon after. But I know that there was a period of when I remembered ( or was I dreaming then too?! )

Re: Gutter's 5 Questions for a Thursday in Early June
1. Yes
2. Both are terrible
3. Yes, I would assume that to mean "just you" but would always ask for clarification before the next event
4. 8am to 9pm
5. I assume I have had a few where I looked back and thought "WTF?!?" but I never put enough time or focus on it to have a measurement guess. And today's water saving tiny toilets don't exactly lend themselves to this as much any more.
