Re: NBA Playoffs 24
I need one more point from him.

And we got it.
Re: NBA Playoffs 24
I think this game gets Tatum MVP.

Al Horford finally gets his ring.
His contract is for one more year—does he run it back or go out a for sure champ?

Re: NBA Playoffs 24
I was thinking he'd retire, but I guess I didn't realize he had 1 year left on his deal.
I think he's still got plenty in the tank to run it back. He'd turn 39 during the playoffs next year.
Re: NBA Playoffs 24
Celtics could really use him.
Porzingis is likely to miss games again next season.

I would like to see the final voting. When you told me it was 11 people who vote on it, I realized it wouldn't/couldn't be a tie. If it was 10 or 12, I wouldn't have been surprised if both he and Brown won it.

New President - New Gutter. I am going to pledge my allegiance to Donald J. Trump and for the next 4 years I am going to be an even bigger asshole than I already am.

Congratulations pdub! Hell of a run for Celtics fans.

20.8 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 5 APG, 1.6 SPG, 44% FG, 23.5 3FG%.
Tatum
22.2 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 7.2 APG, 1 SPG, 38.8% FG, 26.3 3FG%.
Those stats, in a vacuum, point to Tatum.
Here's the difference for me though ( and may have been for voters ) - Brown was better in the 2 games that were in doubt and was the largely the difference stopping Dallas's rally in game 3.
He also was matched up on Irving and Luka more than Tatum throughout the series.
Had either of them got it I would not have been shocked.

good

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

They either really weighted the FG% or they weighted the games that were actually close.pdub wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 6:27 amBrownRainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 5:54 amI would like to see the final voting. I was good with either. When I turned it off and went to bed, I figured Tatum did enough to get it.
Re: NBA Playoffs 24
5% FG is significant but I don't know if it's significant enough to ignore the increase in points, rebounds and assists.
I do think Brown had the tougher defensive matchups and was more clutch when it mattered.
