There was a wannabe steph moment too. Tatum is an absolute clown. Good at basketball tho. But obnoxious.

But then again, he did text dead Kobe, screenshot it, and post it

He's so corny. I like him, but he's corny.
That’s how I feel too.
He seems like a good dude who just wants to win - I’m all for that.
Haters gon hate.

Hard for me to truly dislike someone who seems like a genuinely good person.

I can't help but wonder if Celtics fans have as much love for this (2024) team as they did for the 08 team.
08 team was special. My 2nd favorite championship team other than the Bools championship teams.

No.
I was a Celtics fan by proxy before Pierce bc my rents had some history in the Northeast and I liked Larry Bird but I went full on in on the Celtics because they drafted him.

2008, with Paul Pierce the MVP, was better than this.

I think so too but obviously there is a new/younger generation that feels this is their "era" and they weren't around in 2008 - so I'm happy for them.
Like you, I became a Celtics fan because of a family member. My sister lived in Boston in the 80s. Good time to be a Celtics fan.
I assume there are those fans from the 80s who considered the 2008 team to be the little brothers compared to the 80s teams.
Just as I suspect there were people who were Celtics fans in the late 50s and 60s that felt the 80s teams were little brothers compared to them.

The personalities of the 2008 team were a huge factor in what made me enamored with them. I was a big KG fan from his Chicago days and I was a big Piece fan from his KU days. Pollard being on the team helped. Throw in Ray Allen, Rondo, Kendrick Perkins, Glen Davis, and other guys in the supporting class and I like them all. I liked them more than the 80s teams but I think I had more respect for the 80s teams.

Unless he gets injured and/or can't play basketball in 2025, I'll bet you $100 someone drafts him.

There's a reason hunter keeps coming back to school when all the 7 footers with athletic ability leave early. But, let's see what happens this year first

But a guy who is a defensive liability in the pick and roll at the college level probably isn't getting drafted
