It is 1:45 pm, the sun has been shining gloriously. And it is only 69F. Awesome day really.

I'm jealous.

It's 90, "Feels like 107", here.

Thinking about riding my bike ~ 30 miles here in a little bit, then come back and paint my face for the debate tonight.

Ha! Good one!

I tried to turn that "old horse" into a funny reply, but nothing came to mind.

Still haven’t heard any thunder yet tho.

It was raining and hailing sideways a week ago last Thursday in Center. Lightning, too.

It was raining on my way home from work last night. I was walking south on Michigan Avenue and while I was walking about 8 blocks I saw several what appeared to be gay couples walking together. BIG Pride weekend in Chicago this weekend.
As I turned East on to Ohio Street I thought to myself well, the weather is supposed to be nice for the parade on Sunday. Then thought, wouldn't it be "God like" if it did rain, then cleared up, and there was a giant rainbow that went over the parade?
That's all I got for you today in regards to a contribution to the Weather thread. :D

Seems like amateur day here with the "feels like" temperature only 110. Now that it's been up to "feels like 112" a couple of days ago, getting out and riding my bike in this feels kind of lame. There's a 37% chance of rain, (Who comes up with these figures?), so I guess that adds an additional element of uncertainty to make up for the mild temps, but still. Unlike my ride this morning on the rail trail, this would be on the street. It being Saturday, maybe there will be more kids out texting while they drive to add an element of danger and make the trip more interesting? One can always hope.

I hope you enjoy/enjoyed your ride. PERFECT weather day in Chicago and I did a pretty short one. Went south about 12-15 miles round trip. Then rode around the NASCAR course area and along the lakefront.

I did not know you were a fellow cyclist, Gutter. Major cred!

I hope it felt good to get out?

After I wrote that there was an increase in thunder and lightening, so I wussed out and drove to do my errands. Then, it never rained, here.

I don't consider myself a "cyclist" but I make a point to ride 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, how ever many miles at least once a week (typically on the weekend) if the weather permits.
Felt GREAT yesterday. PERFECT weather. Low to mid 70s, partly cloudy, low humidity, light wind.
Only slight negative was that there were A LOT of people out and about - which creates more hazards.

Sorry you didn't get your ride in - but to make lemonade out of lemons, I will say, when we miss and/or are unable to do something we enjoy, we appreciate it more when we do it/them.

If I lived where Gutter lived, I’d be cycling all over the place! Jealous! I do like riding in NoLaw though. Very little traffic and lots of shade.

Dildo weather forecasters this morning. We might get a brief shower around 1:00pm. 32% chance. (Why not 31% or 33%) but should be nice the rest of the day. 2:15pm, a sprinkle. 2:45pm heavy down pour. Let up with light rain but then heavy down pour/s again. it hasn't stopped raining. It's now 5:48pm.
I feel bad for the NASCAR fans.

This is the current view outside my window. Yes, it's foggy too.

Low pressure moved your way. Hurricane turned away from where we needed rain.
