Ford signing a 5yr $87.5M deal with SF.

I think KC uses that second rounder to love yo in first to get a starter in the draft.

I’ve heard a 2020 2nd.
If so, that’s as big a fail as Marcus Peters.
Why do we trade our best players for less than they are worth?

Problem with worth is that has nothing to do with how good a player only what he costs.

A 2nd is better than a 3rd but is it worth not having Ford for this upcoming season?

Biggest thing is it clears out 15ish million in cap space. I doubt the Chiefs had Ford in their long term plans so they got what they could for him.

If we're up 4 on the Patriots this year with under a minute left, yes it's worth it.

So I’m not completely sure where the chiefs are on cap space now. I know they had a little bit and then cleaned out like 14 with Houston but then spent 14 on the safety so that’s a wash. Now they’ve added another 15 more? Plus maybe what like 6-8 if they post June EB? So are they still a player in FA or the rest goes to long term stuff with Jones/Hill?

Yep that’s pretty accurate. Probably room for one more big FA, like a corner.

Then will build through draft and then use rest for Jones/Hill/Mahomes (Next year)

And draft try and pick up another rusher with the 1st and CB’s with 2nd’s and somewhere maybe a TE?

Or attack the CB in the first round and hope some rushers fall? Guess that depends on the CB in free agency, even though I don’t really know whose left there.

I hope the Chiefs get back to and past conf champ next season. Unless they are playing the Titans at any point in playoffs.

I’m so so happy that the Broncos have been knocked from their high horse.

Le’Veon gets a 4 year deal at 52 million with 35 guaranteed after turning down a 5 year deal at 70 million with 33 guaranteed but loosing 15 million sitting out a season.

Le’Veon, like his former teammate Antonio Brown, is not an intelligent person

Don't like the Dee Ford move. Besides the offsides call in the AFC Championship game, last year he played at a very high level and with Chris Jones have been the best 1-2 punch getting to the quarterback. They basically got rid of one of the best pieces of their defense and only getting a 2nd round pick next year?

Yup.
Frees up money for a Tyreek Hill and Chris Jones future overpay I guess.

Some people would rather be incredibly athletically gifted and wealthy than intelligent - if given a choice.
I think Bakari had as much if not more to do with the Bell fiasco as Bell did.
Bell wanted out and got his wish. Maybe not as much $ as he and Bakari thought he would/should get but still pretty darn good $.
Brown wanted out too - and got his wish. Good for him as well.

Think it's been reported that Earl Thomas and Cleveland were never really close.

Yes, Dorsey making all these moves now.. But just wait a couple of years and see how much a mess he'll turn that franchise with the deals gives to players. He'll screw it up so bad, just like he did KC, which is why they've had to dump Houston and Ford.

I don't know a lot about Dorsey's time with the Chiefs. But, I'd say he's already a success at Cleveland. If they sneak into the playoffs, might as well build a statue.

True. And as I saw this morning, he's been very fortunate to be in 2 great situations to start..

KC. Had the first overall pick. Plenty of Draft Capital. First spot for waiver pickups. New QB and Coach.
Cleveland. Tons of draft picks. New exciting QB and plenty of cap space to work with.
