Before The Open started (on July 15th) I bet $1 on the following....

Cantlay at 45-1
Lowry at 45-1
Finau at 45-1
Koepka at 35-1
Hovland at 30-1

I can cash out Cantlay at $2.48 and Lowry at $9.41 right now. I'm going to regret not doing it.

Cash out Cantlay. Let Lowry ride. He's made for Open golf.
Of the people in contention I've got:
$5 on Lowry, $1 on Noren and Day, $2 on JT, and $43 on Koepka (he's fallen off a bit). Used a boost on Sheffler top 10 and another boost on Sheffler to win.

I will use my boost tomorrow on Justin Rose if he's near the top.

Horschel leading the Open? Didn't see that coming.

Rose only 1 off the lead...

I spent all day this past Thursday at the 20th annual Maurice Lucas Celebrity Golf Tournament.

First time I have spent much time at a golf course (including having a vacation home on one) in 20 years.

As for the lady fans, it sure seems the tops have gotten tighter, bras are non existent, and the skirts are WAY shorter than I remember.

Is that a normal occurrence, or is it because so many mid level celebs were there?

It depends on the club...but overall, yes.

You either get that or the butch lesbian look.

We get more of the butch lesbian crowd at my club.

Enough about breasts.

Woodland is only 3 off the lead after the first round of the 3M Open in Blaine, MN.

That doesn't sound like much, but since his brain surgery the question is usually whether or not he's going to make the cut, not how close is he to the lead.

Go Gary!

Nice.

I admittedly have a post Open Championship hangover this week from waking up at 3am Thurs/Fri last week to watch golf so I haven't checked in or placed bets on the 3m open.

So apparently KJ Adams is an avid golfer. He's been posting social media stuff from courses all over the country this summer....he's currently at Flint Hills National Golf Club, which looks beautiful.

Former KU golfer Gary Woodland, who had a brain tumor removed ~ a year ago, was 8 under and tied for third after the first round yesterday, and so far today he is 11 under par and one off the lead after 11 holes in the 2nd round of the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Anyone else put into the lottery for 2025 Ryder Cup tickets? I just got an email that I got selected in Group 1. No clue whether that is meaningful, or whether it's like the Taylor Swift tour lottery where "winning" didn't even mean having the actual opportunity to buy.

Beth Ann Nichols reports from Pelican Golf Club in Florida about Caitlin Clark's much-anticipated appearance at the LPGA's Annika pro-am, her yearslong love for golf and the impact it could have on the sport at large.

She'll be paired with Annika Sorenstam and current World #1 LPGA player, Nelle Korda:
