3. No, unless you count a golf rangefinder. I last used that on Sunday and will use again today.

4. Any day other than Wednesday is fine with me.

LOL

Tuesday AND Wednesday would be better.

3. yes, yesterday, watching a couple big bucks up on the hill. still in velvet.

4. If we eliminate Sunday do we get rid of religion?

2 - I laughed. I was a goof who did it to be cool. I wasn't any more cool by doing it. Probably less cool.
3 - Cool
4. Sunday wasn't an option but that's a great question and one I would have mixed feelings about. I feel religion really is good for some people. Problem is I feel it's really bad for too many other people.
5. Oh yes you are!

2. yes. I got my ears pierced in junior high. I got one ear double pierced, but I don't think that hole still exists.
3. I own a few pair of binoculars for different purposes. None have been used in the last 6 months. All have been used in the last 2 years.
4. A weekday. It doesn't matter which one.
5. None of the apartments or food offerings swayed things one way or the other. I was motivated by exposure for a 22 year old me to learn. I am going to Russia to work in the upper government, but probably in Moscow rather than St. Petersburg.
5. Interesting. I would strongly consider Russia BUT the caviar and borscht thing would never work for me. As far as living in a studio apartment, seems you can get a really nice one in St. Pete Russia for $1500 a month.

3. Yes, multiple pairs**. The nesting pair of bald eagles at the end of the block have migrated away for the summer, so probably 3-4 weeks ago.
4. Any weekday, probably Wednesday, so I don't have to be so jealous of Illy.
5. No. KC?

*But I've often wished having an earring as a male wasn't such a thing. (But that being said, every time I see a male with one it catches my eye and almost 100% of the time it does not leave a + impression. Hypocrite much?)

**I used to be an aspiring birder and after years at it, as an anniversary present to each other my wife and I bought a pair of Swarovski binoculars. They were worth it. Then, I discovered mountain biking and I've never been birding again, because if the weather is good for birding, it's most likely favorable for mt biking. That was > 30 years ago.
1. Fill in the blank? I'll go with - retired.
2. I'm very confused about piercings other than earrings. A male with earrings doesn't bother me but I admit there was one male I knew who had a pierced ear and it really bothered me. Just one person. I can't figure out why.
3. You had a nesting pair of bald eagles at the end of your block (COOL!) I had a nesting pair of gay bald dudes down the street a couple of years ago that were having buttsecks. Imjustsayin' :?

ABSOLUTELY! I am struggling with the unknowns - which I have to accept I may never know.

1. Gutterism for the day..... My social life is retired. I wish my work life was. I like to think I would then have a social life again.
2. That's one huge bonus to living where you do and of course you have others.
My bonus is sitting in my living room and looking out a window and seeing nothing but water and sky. Being able to see the sun rise or the sun set depending on what windows I look out. I can look out a window and see a skyline and city lights at night.
I would prefer seeing mountains but I sometimes get claustrophobia in the mountains.

If someone told me I have shit for brains - I would respond I must have cleaned my bowels.

Trad's reply to you was better than mine, he's right, we're all broken.

Don't be so hard on yourself, Gutter. And while we need to constantly remind ourselves to be kind and magnanimous to others, we need to remember to be kind and forgive ourselves, too.

Life is complicated, and it isn't easy.

More than 3 years after her death, I had to send yet another co. a copy of my wife's death certificate yesterday. Today, I had to dig a copy of my Mother's death certificate out to take with me to a bank tomorrow to deal with more details from handling her estate's affairs. She died on 'Christmas Day last year. Tomorrow is my deceased older brother's, (who was also my best friend), birthday. Compared to billions of other people that's absolutely nothing to complain about, but it isn't any fun, nonetheless.

But, what are you going to do?

I had quadruple bypass surgery April 1st, and yet, I'm doing great.

Thanks for your words - and opening up.
I am sorry you have to deal with what you're dealing with - that probably stir up memories, feelings, and emotions. Hopefully some of those memories are good ones that can bring you good feelings and emotions.
I'm sorry that you went through very serious surgery but happy you have recovered and are doing great.
Yes, when you (or anyone else) put/s things in perspective, there are always people who will be a lot worse off than you (and people who will be a lot better off than you).
A single word that took me a long time to understand and feel is "acceptance".
I struggle with the serenity prayer.
I struggle most with the wisdom to know the difference/s.

I’m confused by the “week” question. It’s not based upon anything. We can call 4 days “a week” or 9, or 12 for that matter. If we made a day 28 hours, would that be 28 hours of the current length? Again, an hour is arbitrary as well. But how would it work? Suddenly it’s sunrise at 6 am on Day 1, 2 am on Day 2, 10 pm on Day 3 etc?!?!

A day, however, is not arbitrary. It’s a length of time measured between observable events. We could make a week 4 days, and make the work-week 3 days and one day off. We could do it tomorrow if we wanted, if we got together and just agreed on this!!
