Royals
Re: Royals
This could be the first cycle since Brett in 90. I would have him bunt.
Re: Royals
And incredibly, Castellanos hits him on the first pitch. Just terrible sportsmanship

Re: Royals
lol. He was coming inside, but no intent to hit.
Re: Royals
First pitch. The guy had two strikeouts and excellent control. But for Witt. And down 9-3

Re: Royals
Believe what you need to.
6 run game, no competitive reason to hit him.
But of course the ‘retaliation’. Because again, 6 run game. Baseball is silly

Re: Royals
Sent Witt a message. He's lucky Salvy didn't break him in half. Ruined the moment.

Re: Royals
That’s all true.
Loss totals about even or to the good for the Royals.
Looking good for now

This mentality is most of reason I think sports are dumb more than not.
Re: Royals
Tonight the Royals won on a strikeout throw out by Salvy. But the umpire screwed them. Called Ball four on an obvious strike. Then MacArthur shit down his leg. Few times does an umpire so clearly change things. MLB owes us an apology there

Re: Royals
That did seem like a strike, that’s for sure. The one two pitches before was a ball though.
Re: Royals
The one two pitches earlier established his strike zone and then he arbitrarily changed it to not include real strikes. Pretty infuriating and probably pushed MacArthur's buttons. He should not have taken that pitch and got rewarded for it.Back2Lawrence wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 9:50 am That did seem like a strike, that’s for sure. The one two pitches before was a ball though.

Re: Royals
The missed strike was missed. The missed ball was also missed.
Re: Royals
A miss is not a miss when consistently called a strike or ball. The sin was an umpire making stuff up to cover inconsistency

Re: Royals
Whatever man, you complain about everything and don’t see or call out what happens literally two pitches prior.
We fan different.
Tonight’s game though. Stupid baserunning or we are currently tied 3-3. Sigh.

Ok. Didn’t kill the rally. Team way more fun to watch at home!
Now if I could convince myself to actually go watch them when they are home.

Re: Royals
But the inning was lost on balls and strikes calls. Lugo had at least two strikes blown. Had to groove pitches. What is up umpires? Royals are just getting screwed
Re: Royals
Don’t give up grand slams to the first pitcher you face.
Re: Royals
Again, bases loaded. Pissed ump. 2-1 count. It was going to get ugly. Had to hroove it or walk in a run. Same scenario as the other night. Need an electronic strike zone.
