I've also heard you can't create players.

Re: Video Games
From what both Of you (fish and Pdub) have described here, it sounds like corporate America at work (microtransactions, less features, higher cost, broken, perhaps perpetually in Beta releases).
It has been long enough since I’ve played any kind of console sports game that I’d be starting over and not have a remembrance (initially) of much. So y’all’s news is sad, if all true.
I have a BB cc, and should be getting $100 in play money soon with an incentive I’m about to hit. I hope console is still $50 off at that point, as it may sway me.
I think I remember playing with tdub back in the day. And he played my kiddo, as well. We were both less curmudgeon-like then. Tdub, if I’m remembering wrong, oooops. Revisionist history happens.

Re: Video Games
wasn't me, I don't play video games often, I do like red dead redemption but I don't think I've even had a console hooked up for 4 years or so.
I am positive your kid would whoop my ass. As for the less grumpy part....thats possible. haha

He whooped whoever’s ass I’m remembering. I thought it was a dub. I know it wasn’t pdub. It was a while back.
It was someone! Was when Vega’s board was the board.

Re: Video Games
I whooped my son's ass in the game the other night. He hasn't figured out that he has a massive tell - he only zooms out to see receiver buttons when he's going to pass (and I figured out how to call run blitzes and audible to pass coverage as soon as he checks receiver buttons).
But then I realized why he wouldn't have already known this: the kids these days don't play against other people in the same room as them. It is a foreign goddamn concept.
Talk about depressing.

Also, did you give him any visual clue (queue) to your ‘strategy’? Great teachable moment there!

Haha. Fair enough. He’s gonna be kicking your ass and making sure you know soon enough. Re: Video Games
there just aren’t enough good couch co-op options anymore
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I’ve had some pretty bad teammates playing certain games. They don’t hold me back from trying to flex.KUTradition wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 6:13 pmmaybe?

Re: Video Games
exactly why vs bots is ok. it doesn’t matter how good or bad you or your teammate are. plus, you can always just ramp up the difficulty levelBack2Lawrence wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 6:19 pmI’ve had some pretty bad teammates playing certain games. Re: Video Games
It’s like zombie modes. Gets repetitive and boring quick to me.
Except, again, for a game like Tarkov. It makes getting punched in the dick less direct. That game is silly hard.

i’ve found “expert” level on most FPS games to be plenty difficult. at least to the point that i want to throw the controller at the TV now and then
but maybe i just suck
