the Israeli’s may not be 100% truthful, but anyone who trusts what any of the hamas mouthpieces say needs to have their goddamn head examined
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Reminds me of the time when Saddam Hussein claimed the U.S. bombed a baby milk factory.🤔

The horrible truth is that Hamas was trying to provoke the extreme reaction they are getting. Stupid and evil.

The horrible truth is.... what I posted was more about Hezbollah than Hamas, and it would be nice if people woke up and realized Israel HAS to fight (retaliate) to insure its survival, and come to the realization that we live in a really fucked up world when there are so many evil people full of hatred, and it's often the innocent good people who ultimately suffer and pay the price because of it.

And, Gutter, there is a difference between fighting and extreme reactions. Better readiness should have been a given too.

While seeking an inexpensive alternative, the US military spends hundreds of millions to battle against low-cost attacks

How long does this go on? Does the U.S. need help or maybe a different strategy?

seems to me the options are 1) do nothing, 2) use high dollar options, or 3) use manpower

This is NOT the same thing as cheering on war, but: the United States absolutely benefits from learning how to manage these sorts of threats without our own servicemembers on the other end of them.

"manpower"

Yikes! Shudder... if there's one thing I hope we've learned, (Pro tip: We haven't), it's that invading and occupying other countries does not end well.

This situation with the Houthis/Red Sea reminds of the Afghan/Taliban proverb: "You have all the watches, we have all the time".

If we’re shooting down a $50,000 one-way drone with a $3 million missile, that’s not a good cost equation,” Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment William LaPlante said during testimony before a Senate subcommittee in May.”
Well, seems like we’re pretty much using option 2, without much success.

go volunteer then, if you don’t like the cost

i’m not sure what you think success should look like. have any civilian shipping vessels been pirated or sunk? is the shipping lane still open?

or, would you rather we just wipe iran and all their proxies off the face of the earth, consequences be damned?
