Chiefs 2024

Post by pdub »

Off to not so great a start.
Clavicle injury for Hollywood on his first play as a Chief.
Likely out at least a month.

Chiefs don’t play a meaningful game for a month.

I was watching in a brew pub; how did Pederson get three or four reviews in one half--one when he threw a fit on the field under the 2:00 warning? He seemed to have lost every one but the one he wasn't entitled to. The kickoff rule of a ball landing in the endzone and kicking back out needs to be refined. That was puzzling without sound. Frankly the new rules are pretty awful and will lead to injuries.

He could miss Ravens and Bengals - weeks 1 and 2.
I understand that we have done well in the playoffs but overall, that would not be great.

Problem with lightweight receivers. Jags were bringing the pain even in preseason. Long season of injuries I think

Oh and with Perderson being a dick who couldn't request a review and demanded one anyway under two minutes, the refs and replay officials completely blew the Safety Call:

Well, consider this one time where the preseason is serving its purpose. Figure out the new stuff when things don’t matter.

Yeah; but it feels like the Chiefs have a target on their back already.

You made that assessment after ONE preseason game?

I made that assessment after 2/2/20 and haven't let up on it since then.

Gutter is right; but the Jags were amped up. This is going to be a year of attrition

So weird to hear such a thought from you.

In this case, though, to read between the lines to what Gutter said, ‘Duh’.

To interpret: preseason is even a barfight.

Every game matters but better it's the first 3 games of the season than 3 playoff games. I think.
Unfortunately the Chiefs will have more significant injuries during the season. Nice thing is they prove they can typically overcome them to the point of they still can/will win the Super Bowl. Only guy I feel would make a HUGE difference between possibly winning and not winning the Super Bowl wears #15.

I should know this but what did the Chiefs decide to do with Rice?

Chiefs are gonna play him every single game he's allowed to play.
NFL will figure out what to do with their somewhat less of a kangaroo court than the NCAA flings around. I'd imagine a 4-6 game suspension eventually but maybe not this season.

The ideal would be the start of next.

That's unfortunate. I would have liked to see him gone.
Damn, I'm gonna hate myself for cheering when he does something good.
