When I first saw this I thought to myself that it is a bad parody.
I'll respectfully disagree with Trad and go ahead and say - To me, I don't feel it's so "good", "clever", or "witty", and I do feel it's at least kind of "dumb".
It reeks of stooping down to a sophomoric tone and something that seems more typical Republican than Democratic to me.

New President - New Gutter. I am going to pledge my allegiance to Donald J. Trump and for the next 4 years I am going to be an even bigger asshole than I already am.

i used to feel that way. no longer
“going high”, unfortunately, hasn’t worked all that well. if the opponent were a “normal” pub nominee (whatever that means these days), then i’m pretty sure this wouldn’t have been their mode of attack. quite frankly, i’m a little tired of dems playing nice, and operating in good faith, when the opponent does little more than lie and disparage
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

The "more Republican" bar is far lower than "stooping down to a sophomoric tone". That would be a vast improvement from the incoherent rage spewing on racist nonsense that is the actual level of Republican commentary of their opponent.

Rumor has it that in today's speech Harris is going to propose giving new homeowners $25K assistance, up from Biden's proposal offering a $10K tax credit to first-time homebuyers during his State of the Union speech.
Yay, but unfortunately that, along with falling interest rates, will only increase the demand for an inadequate resource, i.e. inadequate supply of entry-level, affordable housing...which will drive the price of houses back up. Again.

That's all well and good but how does that protect real Americans from the dual scourge that threatens us every day!
Electric Boats and Muthafuckin' Sharks!
While Kamabla rambles on about affordable housing, trumpty dumpty engages us with intellectual discussions about Hannibal Lecter!

What about giving me some assistance and some tax credit for buying a family sized bag of Dorito's?
Harris for President
Do you remember how you felt the day after Donald Trump was elected?
I do. It was election night for me as well.
It was incredibly bittersweet. When I took the stage for my acceptance speech -- to represent California in the Senate -- I tore up my notes. I just said, “We will fight.”
Then I went home and I sat on the couch with a family-sized bag of nacho Doritos. I did not share one chip with anybody. Not even Doug. I just watched the TV with utter shock and dismay.
Two things are true eight years later: I still love Doritos and we still have not stopped fighting.
Here’s the deal: We can’t go back. We can’t go back to the way we all felt on that harrowing day in 2016 when Donald Trump was elected. Or how we felt throughout his chaotic and corrupt administration.
This team has a direct role in making sure we win. That’s why I’m asking:
Will you chip in $25 or more now to my campaign? So much is at stake in this race, and we cannot defeat Donald Trump without you.

Haven’t we all realized that the best way to deal with a bully is to punch the bully in the mouth?
We should have learned three lessons from Breaking Bad:
1. We need a better health insurance system
2. We need to pay our teachers better
3. Stand up to bullies

Several years ago, I started remarking that we are so lucky that the captain at the controls of the terrifying machine the Rs had fashioned was as dumb and non-principled as Trump.
Now, whether it’s Trump or others, what fortune we have that, as far as this campaign now goes, the Rs don’t seem capable of running a two-car funeral if you spotted them the hearse.

What does that say about the Dems - that it's as close of a race as it is?
Other than people are stoopid.

Let’s see how close it ends up being. I was dead wrong about just how strongly voters would respond to Harris, and that has happened because (I cannot believe I am saying this out loud) the Ds executed this with clarity, coherence and cohesion.
i said early on (3 weeks ago lol) that she may very well end up winning in a relative landslide
if the current course remains, sure seems like that’ll happen
i’m waiting for an October surprise
