Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Obama seriously questioned Trumps cock size.

Re: DNC
The speeches of the two Obamas....damn those two are good. First two speakers of the DNC that I wasn't thinking at the end; "OK, you should stop now". Their message does not get old.

Re: DNC
That was quite the evening. I was so mesmerized that I totally forgot I had a kid that I was expected to put to bed. I heard my wife stomp down the stairs at 10:30 and run her up to bed an hour late. Oops.
Glad I didn't miss that tonight even if I get yelled at tomorrow.

Re: DNC
3 questions of the Day pertaining to last night.
1. Other than the Obamas, who gave the best speech last night?
2. What percentage of people who before last night said they are 100% going to vote for Trump watched more than 7 minutes of the DNC last night?
3. What percentage of people who have posted on the politics bored in the last week would vote for Trump if he was the DEMOCRATIC candidate - and Harris was the Republican candidate?
This is the crazy thing to me....
My guess is many if not most people believe it was our founding fathers who put a two term (actually - being elected twice) limit on the Presidency. Nope.
I wonder if the founding fathers would/could have ever envisioned that there would be a black man elected President in 2008 and he would serve two terms, and then in 2016, 2020, and 2024, he possibly/probably/most likely would have been re-elected.

2. If it wasn't part of their job, 0%
3. Can't speak for others but there is a 0% chance I would vote for Trump if he was the Dem nominee and I would have to hear what Harris' platform was as a Republican to see if I vote vote for her as a Republican.

2 - 15%
3 - no, trump wouldn’t get my vote regardless of which party he pretends to belong to. i tend to support policy rather than people

Re: DNC
Emhoff for sure, as to which non-Obama impressed.
What a representation of actual life in America.
A messy, mixed family. Fluid balancing of two careers. And what makes it work is devotion to family being the center of gravity, around which all else orbits.

Re: DNC
I don't think so. I don't think the right next move is an old (sorry) member of the old guard. The Ds have an amazing bench right now, I think there will be options that represent forward momentum in a way that a Clinton or Obama or Bush etc does not.
Re: DNC
I genuinely don't believe that she ever will because she just doesn't seem to want to be President. Which I truly respect.
