Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Re: DNC
With all of the time spent telling the story of how these two candidates are ordinary normal people, dropping in a huge celebrity at the end would have disrupted the flow. End it on this speech. This was a great speech. It drew a striking contrast between the candidates.
“Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country”
It was the same message.

Right. Kamala should not have over stepped that speech. It was incredibly powerful on its own. Let it stand.japhy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 10:27 pm With all of the time spent telling the story of how these two candidates are ordinary normal people, dropping in a huge celebrity at the end would have disrupted the flow. That speech is historic.
Defense. Rebounds.
Re: DNC
It was a genius marketing ploy to tease a secret celebrity showing up. It drove up viewership and raised the ratings to levels that will have trumpty dumpty fuming, as his ego takes a shot to the nuts.
Well played Gutter!
