Forgive me, I'm confused.
Where are you getting "speech is only free, if you agree with me!"
and "defund the police" from?

New President - New Gutter. I am going to pledge my allegiance to Donald J. Trump and for the next 4 years I am going to be an even bigger asshole than I already am.

Trump has always been a psycho narcissist.
Child-like in his thinking.
A near complete idiot.

The Harris movement has me moving toward joy and hope.
I say weird more when describing the Right, as it feels better than what I am thinking.
Agreed. They got so pissed when everyone called them selfish, racists fucks that they elected a selfish, racist fuck as President just to "own the Libs". Wow, that really taught us something...

So you'd think settling for "weird" would be a welcome change.

But doing that would take away the only thing that they have.....
grievances, conspiracies and enemies lists.

I have been Republican leaning my entire life. From the day announcing his run, I determined that this fucking dumbass would be the worst thing this country has done to itself since slavery.

don’t forget the trading cards
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Do you mean the “I am so macho and tough” NFTs?

Psych doesn’t seem to take issue with them. Trump is his hero, after all.

I just saw that. Buying a few dozen cards is a small price to pay for the possibility of a “not actually autographed by Trump” piece of a suit that he most likely never actually touched.

As Trump so eloquently stated, it IS a piece of history!

As Japhy said, “exit through the grift shop”.

Left mine on the dashboard while I ran into QT, and came back to my infotainment controls being covered in chocolate.

Another victory lap for the free thinkers. Zuckerberg admitting the biden administration pressured him to censor things that didn't agree with their narrative

In his new book, Donald Trump threatens billionaire and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg with prison.

Save America, set to be published next week, includes a photograph of Zuckerberg and Trump at the White House. Underneath the photo, Trump wrote that Zuckerberg “would come to the Oval Office to see me” and “bring his very nice wife to dinners, be as nice as anyone could be, while always plotting install shameful Lock Boxes in a true PLOT AGAINST THE PRESIDENT.”

Trump went on to pin some of his election conspiracies on Zuckerberg, and gave him a serious warning.

“He told me there was nobody like Trump on Facebook. But at the same time, and for whatever reason, steered it against me. We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time he will spend the rest of his life in prison — as will others who cheat in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Trump (or perhaps his ghostwriter) wrote.

It’s not the first time Trump has threatened the Meta mogul with prison. In July, he called out “ZUCKERBUCKS,” saying a Trump administration would “pursue Election Fraudsters at levels never seen before, and they will be sent to prison for long periods of time.”

Difference is, the President now has unreviewable authority to direct the DOJ as he pleases, and unreviewable authority to promise and give pardons to DOJ officials who carry out his (illegal) whims.

Would he use this power to literally memory-hole Zuck in the federal clink?

Dunno.

But think about all of the Comer and Jordan nonsense investigations, and now think about those sorts of just asking questions expeditions, only with the full power of the DOJ behind them, and the imprimatur of the DOJ on them.

Even a plausible-sounding INVESTIGATION into certain types of things is probably enough to cost Facebook billions (and advantage Musk).

I don't think people, generally, have digested the implications of the decision.

Even among anti-Trumpers, I think most people considered it as a sad-but-predictable get out of jail free card for his past sins. I do not think people are paying nearly enough attention to what it means for any given future presidency, and especially one we know will be lawless, vindictive and unmoored from reason.

Never thought I'd say this but, I actually feel bad for Zuckerberg and his people, as well as the other social media big wigs. They are clearly caught in the middle of a power struggle. The tech guys invented powerful tools on the internet. And the intelligence community and establishment media want to sink their claws in them and use their platforms to manipulate the people. (It worked) and if the tech guys don't comply, they threatened them

Here's rfkj breaking down some of the illegal things our government did to use big tech against us to censor information and control the narrative
