Royals
Re: Royals
13 wins from the most historic turnaround ever.
Re: Royals
Finish the job today and I cannot think of a bigger regular season series the club has won, in any season. Especially considering yesterday’s all hands on deck thing.
Re: Royals
Crazy town. I hope KC is able to keep this going.
Re: Royals
I’m so glad to be able to watch while I work. I have playoff-level nerves for this one. Completing a sweep would be absolute theft of two or three wins, given the circumstances. And those stay in the bank.

Re: Royals
Well dang it. What I learned today is that when I can’t watch, they lose

Re: Royals
Well, Let’s hope Alvarez (Astros) did his damage for the week all today.
Re: Royals
Left Wacha hanging. Blew big lead. Q.
Re: Royals
Not sure how you can hang that one on Q. He brought in his best reliever in the right spot, and he got beat on basically a couple bloops.
Baseball happens, in other words.
Stinks to drop that final game, but again with all of the nonsense going on in that series, three wins is one or even two more than you'd expect.

Re: Royals
A Q trademark is leaving tired starters in until a high leverage mess begins. Erceg is a closer, not Mr. Fix-it. You waste him early, you might not have anything to close. Five runs charged to Wacha; he had a quality start until Q rolled the dice. The Royals need 7/8/9th inning guys. Hernandez, MacArthur, Erceg maybe. The club pioneered that system then abandoned it in 2016. Frustrating to me

Re: Royals
The Astros are my least favorite team in the league. Because, you know cheating.
Hoping for at least a split.

Re: Royals
I strongly disagree with saving Erceg for the 9th; having a lead at all in the 9th is more important than who closes it out in the 9th.Sparko wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 11:43 am A Q trademark is leaving tired starters in until a high leverage mess begins. In context, leaving Wacha in was quite justifiable. The doubleheader two days before, and essentially the bullpen game the day before, meant that there weren’t a lot of bullets out there.
Re: Royals
Erceg needs to close with this team. No one behind him I trust. There was going to be a need for at least three relievers before the game started.

Lots to not like there. Very obnoxious team and fanbaseBack2Lawrence wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 12:36 pm The Astros are my least favorite team in the league. Because, you know cheating.

Re: Royals
Royals on one play ruined the entire season in all likelihood. Erceg and Vinnie. Erceg in another misuse. No need to worry about him closing any more

Did not watch, don’t want to research this now lol.
Re: Royals
No Vinnie for likely rest of the season.
That’s pretty rough.

Re: Royals
I like Pratto, but this staff has pushed him backwards. A lot of prospects are deflating. Not sure who they bring up. Might as well bring Castellanos before the coaching ruins him. Seriously though, the Royals need a manager and several good position coaches going forward.
