Trump's work to deregulate food plants not only costs lives, it will also cost American workers their job as this violation filled Boars Head plant that caused a Listeria outbreak is closed down.

And I’m sure self-enforced health and safety standards wouldn’t suffer at all if millions of potential workers were disappeared overnight (which can ONLY result in dramatically higher labor costs).

Or it will result in the locations closing due to not being able to staff at an operational level, costing whatever American workers they have their jobs.

Red states would be finding out just how reliant they are on all forms of labor and it would fuck everyone.

And now compound the effect with economic isolationism in the form of tariffs, and you begin to see that maybe the R plan here isn’t really a very good one!

But it will always be the democrat's fault because republicans don't intend to govern, but grift and wield power like Paxton so they don't have to pay for their crimes. Blame, steal, threaten, blame. Cycle.

And this of course is why the Rs who know better - who KNOW that mass deportation and economic isolationism will tank our economy - still support Trump.

They are in a position to absorb and even profit from the folks’ pain.

Vance isn’t long for the ticket. He can’t do TV. And TV is the lingua franca of the campaign.

Vance yesterday: "If I have to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that's what I'm going to do."

He's a perfect ticket for the ticket.

Burns too hot.
The biggest scam of the past decade has been the realization that Republicans can tell the most blatant lies possible and the media will just let them do so as long as they never admit they're lying. That @JDVance couldn't even stick to that is a monument to his stupidity.

[…]

I still give odds that the New York Times will try to both-sides this, do stories purporting to investigate the "complicated story" of immigration, and frame Vance's positions as "needs context" or whatever, but anyone who DOESN'T call Vance a flat-out liar has lost the plot.

When you're too racist and offensive to MTG then you had created a new circle of hell. Loomer's vile comments about Curry and call centers are maybe 5th or so on MTG's greatest hits of racist word vomit. Jewish space lasers did what?

Loomer has created an entirely new character for herself and has fully committed herself to performing it as her daily life. MAGA perfection.

I’m sure that, probably over the course of the day today, we will learn what things Loomer turns out to have been “right” about all along.

And here's Pete talking about the reality of the situation.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg (D) said Sunday that former President Trump’s ties to far-right activist Laura Loomer serve as a “reminder” of the “exhausting chaos” that existed while he was in office.

In an interview on NBC News’s “Meet the Press,” Buttigieg noted Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), was just on the Sunday morning broadcast, where he was asked about Loomer’s remarks invoking a crude stereotype to attack Vice President Harris on her Indian heritage.

“We’re not having a serious policy debate about immigration or any other issue, if you got JD Vance on your program, basically debating exactly how racist it is to talk about the things that Laura Loomer is talking about,” Buttigieg told anchor Kristen Welker.

“This is the kind of side show that they want to take the main stage so that they don’t have to talk about anything serious, and it’s a reminder of just how exhausting it was to deal with all this the first time Donald Trump was president. America would be in for another four years of this exhausting chaos every time we check the news if they come back into power,” Buttigieg said.
I hear stories of my wife's childhood growing up with a toxic narcissist father. Every day was chaos. After awhile you start to feel like chaos and terror are requisites for a full life. The chaos takes your eye off the issues of living with the person who brings the chaos. You are always in an "us against the world situation" and Mr Toxic is interpreting this latest situation he has created for you.

Just look at the recent frenzied behavior of our local rube boys. They have been posting crazed shit ever since Kamala hit the scene, because trumpty plumpty has gotten crazier since she showed up. Every time some new threat comes; assignation attempt, debate crash and burn, pet eating lies getting exposed, Russian disinformation peddling exposed they respond just a little more erratically and more frenzied.

And what was one of the big drivers in 2020 for 81,000,000 people to vote for old Joe? They wanted the crazy and the chaos to go away. trumpty plumpty is driving the crazy levels higher the closer we get to the election. It's the only form of control he knows. And the chaos addicts are lapping it up and spewing more crazy, because it is what makes them feel alive. And the majority of Americans are looking at this shitshow that the Rubepublican party has become and wondering, who the fuck are these people? Let's cross the street, vote, and avoid them.
I saw the worst minds of my generation empowered by madness, bloated farcical naked,
dragging themselves through the whitewashed streets at dawn looking for a grievance fix.
