Chiefs 2024
Re: Chiefs 2024
We are 2-0, compared to where the Ravens and Bengals are right now, I'll take it.

Re: Chiefs 2024
2-0 against two good teams despite not playing particularly well either week. That works.
Re: Chiefs 2024
Our offense isn’t hitting.
I think Hollywood was game planned in and now they have to rework things.
Hopefully Pacheco is ok.

Re: Chiefs 2024
That was about as bad as they can play and still win
Re: Chiefs 2024
I think the Bengals are now 0-3 vs. KC since proclaiming it "Burrowhead".
Re: Chiefs 2024
Playing with fire for sure. The upcoming stretch is no slouch, either. Good to get Atlanta early as Cousins looks stiff AF but a tough month ahead prior to the bye week.
At Falcons
At Chargers
Vs. Saints
At 49ers
Re: Chiefs 2024
Ugh, it is being reported that Pacheco fractured his fibula when he got bent backwards near the end of the game. Likely headed for IR and will miss a good chunk upcoming. That fucking sucks.
Re: Chiefs 2024
That could be a regular season ender.
Chiefs are getting screwed with injuries.

Re: Chiefs 2024
Better a fracture than ligament damage I suppose. Hopefully they can keep him fit while he rests and recuperates and he will be ready for the playoffs.
But with Brown out and now Pacheco combined with the LT situation, KC might have some L's coming soon.

What about Donovan Smith?
Isn't he still a FA?
Isn't he still a FA?
Re: Chiefs 2024
He makes a ton of sense if you don't care about the character of a person and we sure as shit don't ( nor does anyone in the NFL really ).
I doubt Pacheco is back until December.

Re: Chiefs 2024
I'm not overly worried about losing Pacheco. Nor about LT. Especially with (now) effectively 2.5 game leads on two of the four (Bills and Texans?) contenders for the 1 seed.
Re: Chiefs 2024
Hunt getting a chance if redemption would be good. God knows others have done as much. And suffered much less.
Re: Chiefs 2024
I'm perfectly fine going with Steele, Perine and a practice squad elevation for depth. Hunt hasn't averaged above 4 yards/carry since 2021. He's cooked.
Re: Chiefs 2024
I'm slightly worried.
Our defense is still legit. We still have Mahomes.
But Pacheco was what, a top 15 running back in the league? He always seems to get another 2 yards than he should. And now we're going to try and establish the run with an undrafted dude and two guys getting long in the tooth ( for their position ).
No doubt our running game suffers and that means teams don't have to respect it as much.
And now the teams that we'll face while he's out that, on paper, looked pretty easy before the season actually look to be good.
Falcons just upset the Eagles at their place. Chargers, Saints, Bucs 2-0.

I'm good with "slightly." Or even "somewhat" or "modestly"!pdub wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 9:54 amI'm slightly worried.

But I'm a believer in Steele as a ballcarrier. Yes, undrafted, but it's not like Pacheco was pedigreed himself (or, even once established, anything more than middle-of-the-pack).
And if it means we break out of this inane offensive conservatism...good. We need to be throwing the ball more, anyway.
