I believe that Donald Trump lies a lot. Dozens of times a day in front of a TV camera so that every word of it is recorded and available for full review. But I have to admit, I do not believe that Trump always lies. There are times where I believe that Trump tells the truth.

Let's be brutally honest. This is the former President of the United States, casually admitting that he broke state and federal laws about paying employees for working overtime. Most of those people getting screwed are hard working American citizens just like each one of us who use this site.

Not only is he admitting it, he is amused by it. He thinks it makes him cool and desirable. That it's charming and positive.

What the fuck are we arguing about? Can we all not agree that this is unacceptable?!? What in the actual fuck? Can we make THIS the fucking bottom, start electing this MAGA white trash band of idiots and grifters out of the system and agree we need to treat each other's differences with a little more respect? As regular old citizens, we don't get very many opportunities to truly affect the world. Sure, sure, our kids, our families and lived ones, others we have a relationship with of any sort. Even us here as part of this KU community. But in a few weeks, we get to participate in something that truly does have worldwide impact. We get to chose the President of the United States, one of the most important jobs in the world. Yes, it is probably too long a process that could and should be shortened but that is for a different cinversation.

Fortunately, the long period of time does give each candidate plenty of time to show us who they actually are, even if it is in only brief moments of accidental exposure. At times, Donald Trump gives us a glimpse of who he really is. This is one of them.
