On a geological scale, earth is in a relatively moderate place. There's been periods much warmer and with much more co2 in the air.
Should we be consciously taking steps to improve our impact? Absolutely
Is increasing our taxes and letting government control energy the solution? Fuckkkkkk no absolutely not

Deforestation globally also has a huge impact. In the United states, we've actually regrown our forests in recent times. But globally... not the case. If you look at areas like the Amazon rainforest, or Indonesia, the large scale deforestation has really hurt how quickly co2 is pulled from the atmosphere
Plastics is a big driving force of "climate change" the need to make all these disposable plastics leads to large scale deforestation in poor countries in tropical areas, to make room for palm tree farms to make plastics. The oils in our processed foods are another big one
So why do fossil fuels always get blamed? It's political. It's a means to control and tax revenue
But what is similar is all of this squid ink that you and your ilk put out there to avoid dealing with the at-least-a-plurality cause of the problem.

You're just a walking shrine to old memes. The whole "animal agriculture is more impactful" was debunked years ago. Come on.randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 9:43 am Humans are definitely having a negative impact on the environment. I'm don't think any reasonable person is going to try to deny that. The research does not support your theory. Animal agriculture is a big chunk, but not more than energy and fossil fuel usage. Sorry. Numerous reputable agencies have looked into exactly what you're claiming.randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 9:55 amIt's not, completely unrelatd. #alternativefacts
depending on the study/source, i’ve yet to see an proportion attributed to animal agriculture greater than 20-25%…most seem to be closer to 10%
energy (coal) and transportation (petroleum) seem to make up roughly 50-75%, again depending on source
by all means, randi, please do provide your own research sources so we can have an open and reasonable discussion about it

Re: Foreign aid to ukraine
Animal agriculture (including crops grown to feed them) is the primary source of habitat loss, deforestation, extinction of species and loss of biodiversity, acidification of the ocean/ocean dead zones, water usage as well as pollution of fresh water resources, desertification of topsoil, emissions of other greenhouse gases such as methane, fertilizer runoff, etc. A ridiculous amount of land and water resources is used for our livestock, and many parts of the world native wildlife has been pushed out for that. Those facts have not changed.
Yes fossil fuels are a part of the equation. Yes we can and should do better. But no, fossil fuels are not the boogey man they've convinced you they are, that's just the democrats playing politics. I am all for continuing to develop and utilize alternative energy sources though, such as solar geothermal hydraulic etc

I'll help you out. The percents you referenced from some study you may have seen at some point probably just focus on carbon emissions. Which is only part of a bigger picture. Even if humans didn't exist, carbon emission is part of a natural fluctuating cycle on earth. So is carbon ABSORPTION. That's the aspect these studies don't measure, the environments diminished ability for carbon absorption, which is a big piece of the human footprint.

And then sadly, most studies are granted funded. When you follow dollars to the source, it's often non unbiased. But rather, studies are often funded by a source looking for the study to yield a predesired result
Re: Foreign aid to ukraine
ALL of it needs to be reviewed and adjusted over time, not just everything BUT fossil fuel usage. But as DC always pointed out, no serious discussion over climate change can be had without dealing with the impact of China's constant and rapid deployment of additional fossil fuel burning power plants on a seemingly weekly basis. We can ban all the plastic straws we want and we will still lose ground on the fight if something isn't done to get China on board. They are the primary offenders.randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 10:35 am I'll help you out. Saying this while ignoring the financial motivations of the Big Oil companies and their investors is absurd.randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 10:38 am And then sadly, most studies are granted funded. How can you dismiss so quickly the facts espoused by Isabella Maria, did you even look at her cleavage? What kind of cuck are you?
OK...OK, so the voluptuous young lady has had some issues. But these numbers have to be legit, they are on twitter, I mean X.A conservative social media influencer has been charged with storming the U.S. Capitol and passing a stolen table out of a broken window, allowing other rioters to use it as a weapon against police, according to court records unsealed on Monday.
Isabella Maria DeLuca was arrested last Friday in Irvine, California, on misdemeanor charges, including theft of government property, disorderly conduct and entering a restricted area.
DeLuca, who has more than 333,000 followers on the platform formerly known as Twitter, is a former congressional intern who works as a media associate for The Gold Institute for International Strategy. DeLuca’s profile on the institute’s website says she served as an ambassador for the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA.
DeLuca, 24, of Setauket, New York, didn’t immediately respond to an email seeking comment. Online court records don’t list an attorney representing her. A spokesperson for the Gold Institute for International Strategy said it learned Monday that DeLuca — who was hired in an unpaid position to update the organization’s social media presence — was facing criminal charges and said, “following further internal investigation, we felt it necessary to sever our relationship.”

i’m not trying to pull a fast one and deliberately distort…that’s as straightforward as they come. i’m happy to provide links to the EPA, academic research papers, and any other science-based entity that you’d like
again, please provide your sources…(and twitter is like wikipedia, so primary sources will be appreciated and taken seriously. that’s how facts and evidence works; i don’t care for some random person’s opinion on your social media feed, and when it comes to actual, objective facts, you shouldn’t either)

You will be told that the world's scientists, and the organizations (governments or otherwise) they work for, are acting in concert to hide the truth from you.
You will probably be told this by meme - don't worry, it's just to lull the globalists (who sneer at trifles like instaface) into complacency, and not notice that the REAL TRUTH (sponsored by Gazprom) is being ferreted out bit by bit to those who just know where to look for it.
