Balls and strikes were pretty accurate most of the night, until the end, when inexplicably the low strike became a thing, for both teams. So I’m all right with that, as it was going both ways.

The safe call on the steel though, after review, I really really don’t understand. Fucking horrible.

Not sure what to say about the safe call - that one was clearly wrong.

I wouldn’t agree that balls and strikes were consistent. Zone seemed to expand as the game wore on.

But the Royals’ relievers were missing by more than an inch or two. Have to imagine walking out of the pen at night in Yankee Stadium is a little different than Camden Park at happy hour time.

Hopefully that’s done now.
