He is assuming that he is the sole arbiter of what a person's motive for choosing not to cast a vote for Giggles might be, which is a specious assumption to begin with. Not sure that's a foundation on which to build your argument, but you should proceed as you see fit, I suppose.

What he said: "There are going to be some males in our society that will refuse to vote for a potential female president because they don't think females are smart enough to be president." That is a 100% true statement. There are absolutely are going to be SOME males who vote against Harris solely because she is a woman.

His name is irrelevant and we have already seen the video in full so I have the full context of what he said so the "USA 2024 in a nutshell" is probably unnecessary and rude.

Yes, "we" have seen THE VIDEO in full and you have the full context of what he said but I don't have what he said before the video starts to base my full opinion on the entire context of his lecture.
MY saying 2024 in a nutshell can (and probably does) have an entirely different meaning to ME than what YOU interpreted it to mean. "Unnecessary" to YOU. Ok. Understood. I felt it was necessary for me to say for my own reasons and purposes.

The pressure on his supervisor is going to be heavy and relentless until he is gone. Jobs and funding are going to be threatened. The day will get worse as it drags on.

Personally, I’m sympathetic to his situation. It looked like he was riffing in class and got carried away. It happens. To his credit, he walked it back immediately and tried to do damage control.

Unfortunately, we live in the social media age, and the blowback for him and for the institution will be enormous. Were we not a month out from a Presidential election, it might be a tempest in a teapot. But, given the circumstances, that’s unlikely.

If I recall correctly, he is also just a lecturer, so he is unprotected by tenure or even faculty status. Were I his department Chair, I’d advocate for him, suggesting a formal apology, some training on classroom comportment, and a suspension for the last half of the semester with a return to full duty in January.

I doubt any of that will happen. I think he is probably done at KU, and, given his age, perhaps in academia. I say that with no joy or satisfaction. It is a shame and I wish it were not so.
