On the bright side ( pun intended ) summer days last until 9 PM.
That is ONE of the things I love about living in the PNW, getting light out at 4:45 AM and dark at 10:30 PM in the summer.
This is also what I found MUCH more difficult about living in Minneapolis (for about five years), than the cold and snow. The fucking DARK, by 4:45pm.

Sure, summers are great. That is why I have recommend places like Alaska and Scotland for summer vacation spots (the length of the day alone!!!). But the length of darkness of winter takes purposely getting used to (IMO). I kinda dread leaving work in the afternoon when it is already dark outside, until I get into my winter routine.

Filet and lobster tail at the hotel steakhouse was about perfect. Steak was med-rare and tender. Lobster tail was even better. I expected cafeteria food at an all inclusive, and we got some, but not tonight.

unless i’m going overseas, i may never fly again
I haven't flown since 2010. If I have it my way I'll never get on another plane. I miss other cultures and seeing things I otherwise couldn't. But my disdain for air travel has won out thus far.

maybe that will change when I dont want to make 20 hr drives in a day too though.

Thanks, Kamala and Joe!

Just four airlines control 80% of the airline industry — the most concentrated it’s ever been. And they’re using their power over consumers, and airports, to jack up prices. But this small airport in Missoula, Montana, is showing how to break the major carriers’ stranglehold

i was there last summer

awful compared to what it was 15-20 years ago
Not remotely similar vibes, but this is how I'd describe Nashville, too.

I have a feeling that I would describe Nashville a whole hell of a lot like how the dubs (P and T) would describe college sports!
Apt.
I've been twice and agree with your statement.
I would also apply this to Williamsburg Brooklyn 2006 and Williamsburg now.
