Voting results says there may have been 74 million Americans (or were they?) that fit those categories in 2020.
Annie was reading a story in disgust this morning. An interview of a trump voter. His most important issues were the economy and inflation. Good enough. The journalist asked the guy to explain how tariffs work and how trump's support of the same would help. He calmly said that China would pay the tariffs. The journalist then explained how tariffs would work and their effect on inflation. Interviewee's head explodes. He seemed to think he had been duped.
Maybe it was a fake interview, maybe they did this to fool trump supports into thinking tariffs and tax cuts would be inflationary when, they really will be counter inflationary.
My wife asked how dumb is trump to believe tariffs help? My guess is he is not that dumb, but his tax cut and tariff policies would seem to indicate that he thinks his voters are pretty dumb.
Maybe someone on here who is worried about inflation and the economy can inform me on how tax cuts for everyone making over $400K a year, and large tariffs on everything coming into this country from China, and how deporting millions of immigrants and migrants will reduce inflation and lower costs and make the economy better for the average Joe?
Those three things seem to pretty much sum up trump's economic plan or did I miss something?
I pretend to understand economics but I really only had one class on it in college. Maybe I am missing something? That won't surprise me.
