Re: Kamala! Fuck Yeah!
More than 100 Arizona Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, and progressive Democrats and community leaders have signed a letter making the case for those reluctant to support Kamala Harris against Donald Trump.
“We know that many in our communities are resistant to vote for Kamala Harris because of the Biden administration’s complicity in the genocide,” the letter, published Thursday night, reads.
“Some of us have lost many family members in Gaza and Lebanon. We respect those who feel they simply can’t vote for a member of the administration that sent the bombs that may have killed their loved ones,” the letter continued. “As we consider the full situation carefully, however, we conclude that voting for Kamala Harris is the best option for the Palestinian cause and all of our communities.”…

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Kamala! Fuck Yeah!
Damn, Kamala and Joe, oil is down nearly 6% today, and down > 18% over the last year?
THANKS!
And, nice timing!

Re: Kamala! Fuck Yeah!
If there is an issue, it is with the individual jurisdictions that got carried away or did not accurately figure out whether the absences were excused or not.. It was meant to be a threat to ensure parents get their kids going to school so they do not drop out and become part of the gang/crime issue we have in this nation. So I don't have a problem with it. Most laws are in place as a threat to not do something bad and many laws unintentionally sweep up a few people who have not done anything wrong. It happens.

Re: Kamala! Fuck Yeah!
I hate this rhetoric. Kamala has never been very popular. She was actually the MOST unpopular within her own party. When she ran in 2020 she had almost zero support from democrat voters and ended her campaign early. Is that because democrat voters are racist and sexist? They chose a white man instead
Re: Kamala! Fuck Yeah!
I know this is extremely difficult to understand, but the Democrats nominated in 2020 the candidate they felt was best-positioned to win. And also, the Democrats nominated in 2024 the candidate they felt was best-positioned to win.randylahey wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 2:51 pm I hate this rhetoric. Kamala has never been very popular. In 2020, over 81 million people thought that Kamala Harris was best suited to be POTUS if somehow Joe Biden could not serve in this position. That’s about 7 million more people than who thought that about Trump and Pence. So, f-off with this “she has no Democratic support” nonsense.

Re: Kamala! Fuck Yeah!
In 2020 democrats had a lot of people running for the nominee. Democrat voters gave her little support and viewed her as the weakest candidate. Probably would have happened again in 2024 had their been a fair primary, but luckily, they rigged it so she didn't have to win one

Re: Kamala! Fuck Yeah!
If Trump is going to win by the biggest margin in history, why are the mouth breathers so worked up about Kamala being the nominee?
It doesn't add up. Not that math is the strong suit of a mouth breather.

Crude oil slammed in biggest one-day percentage drop since July 2022
Benchmark crude oil futures fell Monday in their largest one-day decline in more than two years after Israel's weekend strikes on Iran avoided energy facilities and ease worries of a wider war that could disrupt global supplies.
Israel bombed missile production sites and air defense systems in three Iranian provinces, but analysts said the lack of strikes on oil or nuclear facilities leaves the door open for both sides to de-escalate the conflict.
Meanwhile, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei refrained from pledging immediate retaliation.
Oil futures' sharp slide weighed on the stock prices of oil-related companies, making energy (NYSEARCA:XLE) the S&P 500's worst performing sector in an otherwise upbeat session for stocks.
APA Corp. (APA) was the day's biggest loser on the S&P, -4.5%, and Diamondback Energy (FANG) closed -3.6%; several big names, including Exxon Mobil (XOM), Chevron (CVX) and Marathon Petroleum (MPC) fell to multi-week lows before paring losses.
Separately, the Department of Energy said it is seeking to buy up to 3M barrels of oil for the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve as prices fall further from its $79/bbl target acquisition price.
Front-month Nymex crude (CL1:COM) for December delivery closed -6.1% to $67.38/bbl, and front-month December Brent crude (CO1:COM) also finished -6.1% to $71.42/bbl, the largest one-day percentage decline for both benchmarks since July 12, 2022...

I know you are doing what you do but I find it funny /not funny you fail to point out that a lot of good people are negatively impacted by this.Shirley wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 6:46 pm Thanks Kamala, and Joe!

Don't get me wrong, I realize a lot of good people are positively impacted too.
Me, I'm kind of indifferent. Affects me in both positive and negative ways. One day, if I am wise enough, I might bother to figure out which way (positive/negative) it ultimately impacts me more.
Who am I kidding? I'm probably wise enough but too lazy to make a simple phone call.

Because I don't feel the need to "both sides" every issue to death in order to avoid possibly offending anyone who might not like me because they disagree.
