That is your opinion. Which is irrelevant to how the people targeted here might feel about what was said. In the context of just being the latest target group, in particular.

Trump won Florida by about 1% in 2016.

I wouldn't count on Trump winning or losing Florida based on what people THINK may or may not happen.

My belief also is that Trump is desperate to stay out of prison, and has purposefully seeded his followers with the delusion that he’s winning.

And so, yes, I am very strongly hoping that this will be yet another thing that pushes margins further away from the zone of fuckery.

I suspect that we’re going to see many - dozens? - of things like that, for the purpose (among others) of creating out of thin air support for the argument that the direct results of the election should be disregarded.

Informing this suspicion is the obviousness of just how little Trump/Vance care about winning votes legitimately.

One thing to keep in mind here is that much of MAGA considers birthright citizenship to be fundamentally illegitimate.

You don't seem to know what birthright citizenship is. Per the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution:

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."
