Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Uncle Joe
Prices rose directly due to Trump's maladministration of COVID. And his mollifying Putin. Putin wanted to embarrass Biden, boost Trump and conquer Ukraine. Grain prices are almost all tied to the market shortages from the breadbasket of Europe. Oil has finally come down and inflation is in control. Another Trump presidency would constitute another shock and would collapse the world economy. Bannon is a fan of course.

Re: Uncle Joe
Trump desperately needed to be smarter than everyone else.
He needed to embarrass the experts who couldn't allow themselves to follow his stupid ideas and remedies.
That is the behavior of a pathological liar and a dangerous narcissist. These are the qualities that you identify as "genius"...which says a lot more about you that you want to admit.
If you have been "right" once, it was pure coincidence and dumb luck.

Feel gaslit yet? The dems deny something the word for word happened on film. (Hint: they've lied to you about just about everything else you believed too)

On Tuesday, Musk agreed with a social media post on his X platform that Trump’s proposals will have a “severe” economic impact.
“If Trump succeeds in forcing through mass deportations, combined with Elon hacking away at the government, firing people and reducing the deficit — there will be an initial severe overreaction in the economy,” @FischerKing64 wrote on X. “This economy propped up with debt (generating asset bubbles) and artificially suppressed wages (as a result of illegal immigration). Markets will tumble. But when the storm passes and everyone realizes we are on sounder footing, there will be a rapid recovery to a healthier, sustainable economy.”
“Sounds about right,” Musk replied.
I am sure he was "just kidding" like Trump's handlers have to repeat after every time he says something gross or dumb.

So actually, it did happen, but it’s ok because Space Karen has assured you it’ll all work out in the end.

You know, the guy who is a complete fraud. Never acknowledges and admits when he has been proven wrong and is continuously delusional in that he doesn't believe things that have been proven to be factually true (or false) but will believe things that are unproven and insist they are true - when they majority of the time they are not true.

Re: Uncle Joe
The fact that he responded to my post and acknowledged part of it is as close to a "well shit, looks like you were right" that he has even been. Normally, he just ignores the facts entirely and barrels forward with no analysis whatsoever.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 6:53 amCome on! You're asking randy.

Just trying to help him over the finish line as I feel that being able to admit you were wrong is a core characteristic of being a moral human and productive member of our society. That inability to admit when they are wrong while also claiming to be the party of moral superiority is one of the most off-putting parts of MAGA to me.

"This economy propped up with debt (generating asset bubbles) and artificially suppressed wages (as a result of illegal immigration). "
You do realize this is a reference to what is currently in place?? We are in a position where we have to dig our way out regardless or who wins. The economy is in a bad place right now
It's just about what gives us the better foundation moving forward.

people smarter than you or i (on economic things) have called the current economy the “envy of the world”
the market is up (record highs, actually), wages continue to rise, inflation continues to fall, and unemployment is in the basement
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

They call it the MAGA VibRaTor and it never does them dirty. Always there when they need it, no reaching across the aisle required.

Randy accepts the opinion of a random person on Twitter whose entire profile is filled with MAGA junk but won't consider the opinions of dozens of the leading economists on the planet.
