An international conspiracy that actively enabled, i.e., coddled*, and shielded from justice, serial pedophiliacs. And, yet...

GMAFB!

*coddle - verb
past tense: coddled; past participle: coddled
1. treat in an indulgent or overprotective way.

Similar: pamper, cosset, mollycoddle

People also ask: What does it mean if someone is coddled?

transitive verb. To coddle someone means to treat them too kindly or protect them too much.
After receiving complaints that the priests are raping and abusing kids, they quietly move these pedophile priests out of the communities and into new communities without notifying the new community of the problem. It's beyond repulsive and has forever tarnished the Catholic Church in the eyes of hopefully many people.
This is why we left the RCC.

Here's a Bible passage I'd like to share with you...
“So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.”

honest question:

with all the religions that have existed throughout human history, do think yours is the true or correct one?

why or why not?

Reminds me of this quote by Seneca, the Stoic philosopher who was a contemporary of Jesus:

“He who suffers before it is necessary, suffers more than is necessary.”

Bonus content:

My other favorite quote by Seneca:

"It is not the man who has little, but he who desires more, that is poor."

for the sake of this thread tho, this Seneca quote might fit better:

“Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.”

I don’t claim to be a “religious” church-going being, however I do like some bible verses.
Reading from Proverbs and Psalms can be a path to personal growth, enhance your intellectual understanding and lead to a more balanced and fulfilling life. I agree that SOME (not all) verses are ridiculous.
Reading Proverbs is good for practical wisdom and advice.

I’m currently studying the Torah.

https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/th ... textThough the terms "Bible" and "Old Testament" are commonly used by non-Jews to describe Judaism's scriptures, the appropriate term is "Tanach," which is derived as an acronym from the Hebrew letters of its three components: Torah, Nevi'im and Ketuvim.

Interesting, that the Torah consists of some Old Testament scriptures.

Interesting Quranic verse know as the “Throne Verse “
Al-Suyuti narrates that a man from humanity and a man from the jinn met. Whereupon, as means of reward for defeating the jinn in a wrestling match, the jinn teaches a Quranic verses that if recited, no devil (šayṭān) will enter the man's house with him, which is the "Throne Verse".[8]
