Tomorrow
Tomorrow
A couple of weeks ago, JD Vance said that politics is too trivial a matter to rule one's life, i.e. you shouldn't let how someone votes determine how you feel about him/her.
I agree wholeheartedly. And in that spirit, I want you all to know: regardless of who wins tomorrow and whom y'all vote for, I still fucking hate all your fat asses. Goddamn buncha jerkoffs.
Except Defixione. I mean.. who could possibly hate Defixione?

I think in every single election i've been alive for, sans this particular one, I would agree with JD's comment.
It's impossible for me now to not think negatively on someone who votes Trump.
Not after how he acted after he lost in November, on Jan 6th, and after.
And I have relatives I love that are voting for Trump. You can still love people who make terrible decisions.
For those I don't love, and either barely know or just know of or don't know at all, nah dawg, fuck you if you're voting for Trump.

Re: Tomorrow
To me, being a Trump supporter is like a lien on someone's character. A yeah, but. You might be a great parent, a great spouse, a great employee, a great coach, a great congregant, etc.Overlander wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 3:24 pmThis is 100% me as well.pdub wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 3:16 pm I think in every single election i've been alive for, sans this particular one, I would agree with JD's comment.

But, at this point, if you still support Trump then you simply do fall into one of two buckets - you either like the most vile of all of it, or you are willing to tolerate it in exchange for...well, nothing that in my opinion can justify the "cost."

Most people are good people and have good reasons for voting how they do. Don't let people make you think otherwise

The average trump voter is no different than any of the rest of you. Normal hard working middle class every day people, they are just sick of the inflation we've experienced the past 4 years and are voting for something different

I mean, I have a good reason to eat a cheeseburger and fries. That doesn't make it a good decision.
I look at what Trump is offering, and I struggle to find a single specific, tangible thing that he is capable of delivering that is even conceptually worth the costs of a second Trump presidency.
But I'll put it to you - what would you say is a single specific, tangible thing that Trump is capable of delivering, that makes everything else a worthwhile cost?

Re: Tomorrow
Biden has helped bring 71 record highs on the stock exchange. He helped cut the deficit by a third. Inflation is now 2.1 percent down from Trump's 8.1 percent in late 2020. I still say the pandemic handling mistakes were the largest factor in inflation. But it is hard to Google search and find non-proTrump curated material. I get why the cult is confused.
Re: Tomorrow
Speaking of - Covid has warped everyone's memories, but it's easy to overlook that the Rs held all three branches of government for the first two years of Trump's term. In a normal world, that would've killed in the womb (whoops) the whole BUT WHY DIDN'T KAMALA CLOSE THE BORDER garbage (whoops again).Overlander wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 4:17 pmAre you saying that you have already forgotten those 4 fruitful... amazing years?jfish26 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 4:06 pm I mean, I have a good reason to eat a cheeseburger and fries. Only Jesus who gives a damn how you voted..... Fuck it. Nevermind.
I don't know what does and doesn't rule other people's lives, but regardless of what VD Jance has to say, I feel money, religion, politics, those 3 things, in order, pretty much rule the world.
My disdain isn't towards people voting for who they feel is the best candidate for them. My disdain is towards people actually liking (at times to the point of worship) the candidates. Neither of them are anywhere near SUPER BOWL. To me, they are a lot more like JUNK!

Neither of them have a quick fix because there is no quick fix.
But Trump's tariff ideas aren't it. I promise you that.

They are still working on it.
These things are complicated, not something the common man can perceive.
They have to take the ideas of a super genius, then filter it down so that the common folks can hope to understand.

I certainly hope they distill it down because I am admittedly not capable of deciphering the "weave". I mean, English professors are even amazed by its complexityOverlander wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 6:11 pmThey are still working on it.
