pray in one hand, shit in the other…see which one fills up first
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Proverbs 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

fools absolutely hate knowledge…that much is evident

Re: More evidence that religious threads make you dum
I mean, sure.
I think the more accurate phenomenon to describe here is, the tendency for humans to seek out, and/or to only want to accept, knowledge that aligns with their beliefs, and reject knowledge that does not.
At the end of the day, it's very hard to actually be objective, particularly about beliefs as sensitive and as prone to bias as the religious thread.
So, rather, I think the better way to put this is: humans absolutely hate knowledge that conflicts with their beliefs, so much so that it can make people reject that knowledge foolishly; in a way that makes them act as fools even if they're otherwise brilliant.

The internet tough guy shtick really only makes a fellow sound like he's desperately trying to compensate for the size of his...uh, username.
So instead - and if I may wax philosophical once again - I'd rather try for the Roosevelt wisdom of,
"Speak softly, and carry a Bigg Dick."

Re: More evidence that religious threads make you dum
actually...yea, stuck in junior high. That's a good way to put it!
Cuz actually, you guys remind me of this girl from junior high. She would always be a bitch and put me down every chance she got - in the hall, on the bus, in gym class, every chance.
I'd ask her to leave me alone, but she refused, instead going out of her way to keep putting me down.
Years later, when we ran into each other at a mutual friend's wedding, she confessed, "sorry I was such a bitch to you in junior high. The truth is, I had this big obsessive crush on you."
Now quick, one of you guys go for another junior high putdown and say it's fake news!

This junior high was a public school, but fwiw I DID go to Catholic school before that.
Tho it was JoCo public schools which was pretty much the same thing.
