I don't think that's childish. If you do, sorry. And of course it's annoying. It's annoying cuz this information is such a thread to your views! So sorry for trying to get you to reconsider your views, I guess.

From my point of view, the more childish and annoying behavior is the refusal of information, rather than the offer of info or suggestion to seek info - not to mention, and perhaps more particularly, the "you're a moron" sorts of petty putdowns you continue to shamelessly post.

helluva response.

My initial reaction was, this call for self-reflection is more projection but now from TDub.

Looks like you're proving me right.

What information? You don't share information. You just spew half baked ideas that you probably got from looking at GIFs and headlines and snarky, smartass responses. I doubt any person on this site shares more documented links to support what they post here and why they feel the way they do or does more research about what they post here than me. But yeah, it's ME that doesn't consider other info, OK.

I shared a NYT article this morning. It is very relevant to the discussion we were having at the time. Not sure anyone bothered to read it. To be fair tho, maybe the New York Times can be dismissed as mostly just GIFs and headlines and snarky, smartass responses.

I also - and more to the point here - offered to provide information to you speficially, twocoach, with regard to Biden and red lines and Israel, and/or suggest you simply look up the info yourself.

This offer and suggestion came as a response to you saying my understanding of Biden and red lines and Israel to to be, well, here's your quote exactly...
twocoach wrote: Wed Nov 13, 2024 8:22 am "...with no real regard for red lines or what the leaders of Israel are doing" just shows how simplistic and uninformed you have chosen to be. It is not based in reality but you're too lazy to do the work to know more.
So I tried to get you to inform yourself, and/or to help inform you, on the matter being discussed - about Biden and red lines and Israel.

And rather than take the suggestion or the offer to actually be informed about the discussion, you instead went on to accuse me of spamming every thread and landing zingers.

I commented at the time, and will again, that it kinda makes the whole "simplistic and uninformed" and "to based in reality" and "too lazy to do the work to know more" sorts of comments seem like projection.

You WERE right in your subsequent post, tho, that this seems like an exercise in futility.

To be clear, what you shared was a NYT guest (opinion) essay by someone selling a book.

And of course that is fair - there is nothing wrong with sharing reasoned opinions that you agree with, that say things that you want to say.

I must have missed it amongst his 30,000 other posts that day. To be fair, I have him on "ignore" now because the pure volume of idiotic spam he generates makes nearly every thread on every board unreadable without his posts being shrunk down to "BiggDick, who is currently on your ignore list, made this post."

I am done commenting on his nonsense.

Good catch!

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I admit, I didn't initially notice it was an opinion piece. But I try to have the humility to acknowledge these things. Even if acknowledging these things makes me look dumb, I honestly don't think it makes one look as dumb as NOT acknowledging these things at all.

The opinion here, of course, is that Biden/Harris administration and the Kamala campaign mishandled the issue of Gaza in a way that alienated a chunk of their base. I've heard this sentiment echoed quite a bit. (que the echo chamber zing!) And I think it's very relevant to consider in light of Dems loosing out on younger and of-color and otherwise-left-leaning voters, if one is even willing or able to consider these things.

But I thought it would be an appropriate perspective to share in light of the competing echo chamber of, anyone who DIDN'T vote for Kamala is like so totally dumb for thinking that what's already happening in Gaza under Biden/Harris like prospectively could get worse under Trump!

Of course, if you'd rather not consider the opinion cuz it's an opinion, that's up to you.

right on, well put, so let's do it:

POTD

cuz yea, I too at least regard NYT as a generally more reliable source, even on the editorial page, than like some random tweeter hot take, believe it or not.

NYT has baseline editorial standards? Must be news to them given that David Brooks, Maureen Dowd and Maggie Haberman still write on their editorial page!
