the 3-pointer has become too important to the modern game to NOT expect it of a big minutes player, and/or at least a big minutes perimeter player in particular.

hopefully this isn't annoying to quote you even tho you apparently have me on ignore, but since you quoted me and since this is otherwise good hoops discussion, please allow me to quote back with more good hoops discussion.twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 1:12 pm
Harris' points per 40 minutes is the highest of his career this season. He is just playing almost 8 mpg less this year so far. So you're wrong about his scoring production statistically decreasing and wrong that he's gonna play a ton of minutes.
Harris is doing fine this year, solid but unspectacular. I don't care if he never shoots another 3 in his life.
I only want him to shoot a three if he is WIDE open or there is less than about 8 seconds left on the shot clock. Otherwise, he should just get someone else a good look.DeletedUser wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 2:16 pm Elliot Cadeau isn't a good 3pt shooter. He's a stud. I can go through almost every single top 25 team and pick out a perimeter player who isn't a good 3pt shooter. And again, we're talking about DH who has a multiple year sample size to show he is a 38% 3pt shooter.
You don't need volume scoring at every single position.
You aren't doing a fantasy draft.
And JFC, twocoach was being tongue in cheek. He doesn't want DH to never shoot another 3. My god.
Storr hasn't been a bit of a disappointment so far. Of the 3 big time transfers he was supposed to be the best iirc. Zeke clear #1 so far. I think Rylan and Storr are neck and neck in my eyes. Griffen starts though (and averages more minutes), so far. So it appears maybe he's ahead in Self's eyes.
yes....but did you watch thr UK Fuke game?DeletedUser wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 3:05 pm I also like that Zeke isn't just a catch and shoot 3pt guy. He's good at creating space and shooting off the dribble, which is EXACTLY what we need on this roster. Storr may turn into it (a guy who can create his own shot within the offense), but Griffen is more of a catch and shoot guy. You can tell Storr was allowed to dribble the heck out of the ball at Wisconsin, now he's got to adjust to playing with other good players as a 2nd or 3rd option, which is hard to do for guys who have been stars their entire life.
This roster compliments each other very well offensively.
Defensively we've got some work to do.
Lol. Yeah definitely his competition. Idk. Dajuan might take it.pdub wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 1:54 pmHow quickly you forget DMac on these boreds.randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 1:54 pm Dajuan will go down as the most controversial message board player of all time
Last years team was not the same once McCullar got injured. He stays healthy and things look different for last years team. Even with their obvious deficiencies. He missed 8 games and we looked awful in almost all of them.randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 4:54 pmLol. Yeah definitely his competition. Idk. I personally was very critical of dajuan in his early years, but have grown to appreciate him. Part of it is dajuans continued growth, part of it is me accepting that dajuans strengths far outweigh his limitations
Perry Ellis has to be high on this list as wellrandylahey wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 4:54 pmLol. Yeah definitely his competition. Idk.
