i’d tune in hoping for some cannibalism
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Tyson likes Jake Paul. I think Tyson is going to take a dive and let Jake Paul win just like the Tyron Woodley did.

i’ll be surprised if Tyson doesn’t knock him out…don’t care how old he is now

Wonder what size gloves they are wearing?KUTradition wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 7:21 am i’ll be surprised if Tyson doesn’t knock him out…don’t care how old he is now
Part of me wonders if Jake Paul has paid Tyson a bunch of money to take a dive. That outcome wouldn't surprise me.
I think it'll be hard for Tyson to knock him out. Tysons fight against Roy Jones Jr was sloppy. Not a ton of solid shots landing. Thats how most Jake Paul fights have been. He stays active, lots of wild punching. His brother does the same thing. They're both athletic and in fantastic shape. Maybe slightly smaller ring and bigger gloves?
My 7yr old watches WWE, and Logan Paul is actually really talented wrestling wise. Which was shocking to me.

i hope the fix isn’t in
you could very well be right, that paul makes it difficult for tyson to land anything solid. that said, i’d be shocked if tyson didn’t still have knock-out power…and it only takes one

Re: Boxing
Tyson definitely still has knock out power. Or at least he will for the first round or 2. Not sure how great his stamina will be. He looks to be in fantastic shape, but boxing shape is an entire different beast. And timing is also a big part of landing power shots. If he times one up early on, look out.
I hope Tyson knocks his ass out, for sure.

Re: Boxing
1. I think there's a decent chance Tyson is being paid off. Allegedly he's getting 20 million...but could that 20 million be linked to some under the table conditions? The Jake Paul engine can keep rolling and making bank as long as he keeps winning and making people hate him more.
2. Mike Tyson is almost 60. No matter if he trained everyday for the last year and completely focused on his body will he be able to have the stamina to keep up with a dude in peak shape in his 20s.

Re: Boxing
Has Jake Paul ever fight an actual real boxer in his prime and at his weight class or does he just fight losers and old guys?
Re: Boxing
Make him fight the Australian Opetaia, 26-0, 20 by KO.
Around the same age.

Re: Boxing
weird…my first thought was that it was staged
we watched the prequel miniseries earlier tonight. the women’s fight might actually be more enjoyable

Staged.
It all just makes me think Tyson looses by decision.

If I was forced to bet, I would take the underdog - in a staged fight. Or should I be taking the favorite? I have no idea.
I also have no idea who I feel I should be expecting to win. Staged or not.
I admit I am probably going to watch it - and I am expecting to be disappointed no matter what the outcome is.

Re: Boxing
Or, takes a dive and pretends to get knocked out.
Jake Paul has had some knockouts that seem a little suspicious. I don't have a strong feeling either way about whether these are staged/fixed outcome fights. Obviously, Tommy Fury wasn't, since he lost.
But Tyson is/was reportedly damn near broke at one point iirc. He's getting a huge payday for this. And prior to it all, he liked Jake Paul, and also claimed he didn't have the fight inside him anymore. So, part of me wonders if the payday was too much to pass up?
Re: Boxing
He blew through his money and filed bankruptcy early in his career so all that money he made when he was at the top of the world is gone.
If i'm 28 years old in my prime I'm absolutely not taking a fall in a fight. My legacy means more than money.
If i'm 60 years old and I could make 20 million dollars to take a fall in a pretend fight, i'd likely do it.
It's not doing anything to my legacy. I'm 60.
