Considering what a fuss was created when I talked about my previous jobs, and considering how obsessive some of you act about me either way, not sharing that was intentional.

I don't think it's a big deal tho. And honestly my biggest concern, more than anything else, is now you guys are gonna be like OH NICE DUDE WILL YOU COME FIX MY TOILET. Cuz that's what happens everywhere.

But, since the cat's out of that bag - please no one go all gusher on me. And no, I'm not gonna fix your toilet. I did that for one bumble babe, and now she won't leave me alone.

Besides, I partially blame myself. I should have never bumped this thread. It's wild how we can go from "dude we're giving you shit for not looking for a new job" to "dude we're giving you shit for looking for a new job." You guys are cute.

I HAVE had sit-down interviews for plumbing positions. It was sit-down over lunch, even, and they bought too! If you really must know, I got a Nashville chicken sammich and some tater salad. If you really have never had such an interview, even in the industry in question...I mean, maybe you just aren't on good enough terms with the good ol' boys or something?

And, it's NOT that I was wasting the interviewer's time. Rather, they were wasting my time. I didn't even get no tater salad out of it or nothin! But, like I said, at least they got to tell their brass that "hey look we interviewed this many doods" about it.

well, here's another angle. (and don't tell them!)

I was otherwise planning on this winter being my swan song in the area. I quit that vacation rental circus cuz, good money for a ski town tho it was, I just couldn't put with another season of getting bitched at about yall's early checkins.

So, I'm working a seasonal gig that's by no means a career stop, but is very much something I enjoy the fuck out of doing, and simply can't do in most other areas. I'm using it to buy me time as I look for other jobs, and so far, many prospective employers have actually admired the fact I'm doing it.

Then, this spring I was gonna get into the skilled trades. Prob plumbing. I have at least one in on that. And, as we all know, I already bring plenty of experience with laying pipe.

Just ask illy's mom!
