Meanwhile, a video Trump posted online last year that lays out his vision for the education system has gone viral recently, with particular attention on a specific vow that gives the impression Trump could offer a form of “reparations” — but for white people.

In the video, originally posted last July, Trump proposes “restitution” for people “hurt” by “equity” policies, by which he appears to mean diversity, equity and inclusion policies. In the video, Trump vows to crack down on schools that promote “equity,” saying he’ll potentially sic the Department of Justice on them, fine them the total amount of their endowments and give some of that “seized” money to people he suggests are “victims” of these policies...

the only thing necessary for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud. Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

If he had sex with a seventeen year old, is that really all there was?
I met my first wife when she was only seventeen (that was back in 1968) and I can’t throw any stones. I guess things are just different now?

I cannot believe this is a thing that should need to be said out loud, but if you would not leave your teenage daughter alone in a room with someone, that someone should not be in charge of our country’s law enforcement function.

depends on the state, but it’s kinda beside the point

why go out of your way to try and normalize, if not excuse, what seems to be some really creepy fucking behavior (at least)?

Also, just so we’re clear, what we’re talking about here is an adult having sex with a trafficked minor and then paying the trafficker.

I'm not going to say if I fee it is gross or really gross but I wonder how people feel when I say we live in a country where in some states if a woman is 17 years and 364 days old you could conceivably go to jail for having consensual sex with her if you are 18 years old - but if you have consensual sex with an 18 year old on her 18th birthday it's ok.
Guess what?
When I was 18 and 19 I was having consensual sex with a 17 year old. My guess is some/many of you on here were too.
Heck, when I was 17 I was having sex with 18 and 19 and 20 year olds. Should those girls/women have been arrested for having sex with me?

“Each of them individually is historically bad,” he acknowledged. “But taken together, these are not people who are going to be bad at their jobs in some sort of normal sense. Taken together, these appointments suggest an attempt to actually make the American government dysfunctional, to make it fall apart, to pervert it, to have it do things that it’s not supposed to do until it’s not capable of doing anything at all.”

It’s not “just that these people are not qualified enough” or even “totally unqualified,” said Snyder.

“It’s that they are anti-qualified,” he continued. “They are qualified to do the opposite of the thing that they are supposed to do.”…

Step 1 - render government nonfunctional
Step 2 - blame government for being nonfunctional

And may we now introduce:

Step 3 - sell government functions for personal gain
